i don’t think i was ever prepared for this goodbye.

when i first walked into this studio 13 years ago, i came to learn how to dance. what i never expected was to find some of the most important people in my life. somewhere between the long rehearsals, competition weekends, costume changes, and late-night practices, you all became so much more than teammates you became my sisters. thank you for growing up with me. thank you for the countless laughs, inside jokes, therapy sessions in the studio or after class in the parking lot, hugs before going on stage, and for always being there through every high and low. some of my favorite memories and happiest moments happened because of the people on this team. even though we weren’t expecting the change this season, i believe it was a change for the better. it’s hard knowing i won’t walk into the studio and see your faces every day. it’s hard knowing this chapter is over. but if there’s one thing dance has given me that i’ll carry forever, it’s the friendships. the trophies, routines, and performances may always be special, but it’s my sisters who i will miss the most. to candice: thank you for never giving up on me, and always believing in me. no matter what the day brought before class, you were always there to listen. and to open up your studio and make it feel like home is something i’m forever grateful for you and your mom.

to my dance sisters: thank you for making this place feel like home. thank you for being such a huge part of my life and for helping shape the person i’ve become. no matter where we all end up, i will always be grateful for the years we shared together.

this isn’t just goodbye to a studio, it’s goodbye to a chapter filled with the people who made it unforgettable. i love you all more than you’ll ever know. 💗🩵
