Stacking Wins!!

Branca Scores Twice as Pfeiffer Wins at Salem.

The Falcons broke through in the 34th minute when Rheanne Fleming scored her first career goal, giving Pfeiffer a 1-0 halftime advantage.

Just 10 seconds after Salem’s equalizer, Branca found the back of the net to restore the Falcons’ lead to 2-1, which would ulitmately be the game-winner.

Branca added an insurance goal at the 52:45 mark, recording her second goal of the afternoon as Pfeiffer extended its advantage to 3-1.

Branca paced the Falcons’ attack with two goals and a match-high 10 shots, including nine on target. Fleming added a goal on four shots, while Lily Bido contributed three shots and Kenzie Stewart added two.

In goal, freshman Jerusalen Gonzalez made a pair of saves in 90 minutes to earn the victory. The Pfeiffer defense limited Salem to just three shots on goal.

The win strengthens Pfeiffer’s position in the USA South standings as the Falcons improved to 4-2-1 in conference play.

Falcons settle for a 0-0 Draw at Warren Wilson

Pfeiffer controlled possession and generated the vast majority of scoring chances, but had to settle for a scoreless draw against Warren Wilson.

Pfeiffer put consistent pressure on the home side throughout the match, placing nine shots on goal. Quinn Branca led the attack with four shots, including two on target, while Cassidy Lake added two shots on goal off the bench. Khamani Spencer, Corinne Browning, Lily Bido, Kenzie Stewart and Kendall Fortson each tested the goalkeeper as the Falcons searched for the breakthrough.

Defensively, Pfeiffer was equally sharp. Goalkeeper Jerusalen Gonzalez and the Falcon back line limited Warren Wilson to just one shot on goal. Gonzalez made her lone save in the 80th minute to secure her shutout.

The draw extends another strong defensive performance for the Falcons, who allowed just four total shots while earning their fourth shutout result of the season.
