Flaky apple turnovers with a vanilla glaze 🍎🍂 Some came out a little ugly, but still SO delish. Definitely making these again for my fall market swap!

Ingredients:
• 3–4 large apples, peeled and diced
• Butter (I added this to the filling—use your preferred amount)
• ½ cup light brown sugar (your preference- I used 1/3 cup, apples are sweet right now & in season)
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• ½ tbsp lemon juice
• 1 box puff pastry, 2 sheets, thawed
• 1 egg + 1 tbsp milk or water for egg wash

Vanilla glaze:
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 2–3 tbsp milk
• ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Add apples, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice to a saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened. Let cool for about 10 minutes.
2. Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut each sheet into 4 squares.
3. Whisk the egg with water and brush around the edges of each square.
4. Spoon the cooled filling into the center, leaving room to seal. Fold into triangles and press the edges together with a fork.
5. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush the tops with egg wash.
6. Bake for 23–25 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
7. While they bake, mix the glaze ingredients, starting with 2 tbsp milk and adding more as needed.
8. Let the turnovers cool slightly, drizzle with glaze, and enjoy!

Makes 8 turnovers 🤍

💀 Cheesesteak Skulls 🇵🇷 Pastelillos de carne y queso pero eSpoOky! Makes 12 servings ⤵️

INGREDIENTS:
1 pound lean ground beef
2 tablespoons of Sazón Completa
2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
1 medium bell pepper, diced
1/2 white onion, diced
1 tablespoon of adobo seasoning,
1 cup of shredded provolone + mozzarella cheese
1 egg beaten to brush your puff pastry
Baker’s Joy spray for your pan

DIRECTIONS FOR MEAT FILLING:
Preheat your oven to 400°
To an 10 inch pan on medium heat, add ground beef
Season meat with Sazón Completa and Worcestershire sauce
Cook ground meat, breaking it up with a masher
Absorb excess grease with paper towel
Add diced onions and peppers
Season with Adobo (instead of salt)
Top with shredded or sliced cheese and put your lid on the pan to melt.
Remove from heat.

ASSEMBLE PASTELILLO SKULLS:
Once your puff pastry sheets are thawed, cut sheets into six rectangles
Spoon about 1/4 cup of meat mixture onto your pastry Fold pastry over, pinch edges to close and seal
Brush your puff pastry with egg
Gently press pastry into the pan 💀
Bake 15 to 20 minutes until pastry is puffed and golden brown.
Repeat for the 2nd batch of skulls.

TIP💡I’ve had my skull pan for about 5 years now and we love it. For the best skull-face imprint, I prefer to bake with puff pastry. Use egg wash and grease or spray your pan. They’ll look like this every time 👍🏽 Grab this skull pan through the Amazon link in my bio 💀✨ @lunchboxmafia Enjoy!!
