12 Inch Kid kommt vorbei und serviert euch funky-technoiden Drum and Bass.

Neuroton & Stereo erscheinen ebenfalls.

SO IST DAS LEBEN UND NICHT ANDERS won the @kffkfestival 1. prize ✨ 🏆 ✨
I still can’t believe it fully! 🥰 Thanks to the festival, jury, to my team and friends & family.

LIFE IS LIKE THAT AND NOT OTHERWISE.

The film was also screened in the KFFK+ program: with sign language and audio description. A very special experience, which inspired me to think more about how to make film accessible for everyone.

translation in english:
“The International Jury awards a Special Mention to LIFE IS LIKE THAT AND NOT OTHERWISE. by Lenia Friedrich. This animated documentary is a philosophical portrait that explores the transience of place and self. A remarkable achievement that combines humor with a fragile and thoughtful reflection on aging and memory. A complex portrait of decay, created with astonishing beauty. Thank you very much!”

„Die Internationale Jury vergibt eine besondere Erwähnung an LIFE IS LIKE THAT AND NOT OTHERWISE. von Lenia Friedrich.

Translation in english:
“The film combines wonderful animation—at times almost surreal—with personal, real-life snapshots. It tells a story about growing old and the stones that are sometimes placed in one’s path along the way. It’s easy, then, to find yourself—like the protagonist—missing your favorite mink coat. The film’s symbolism and narrative style are truly unique.
At first, it reveals no concrete details or what it’s really about. The audience must discover this on their own. A puzzle emerges, slowly completing a lost memory.”

Next week, we are releasing “DDNBC00X: Conspiracy”, our 15-track digital compilation album that features over 17 artists - another musical milestone from the DDNBC sphere, celebrating its 10th anniversary. It’s a very diverse collection of tracks, representing the full spectrum of different Drum And Bass sub genres and styles that lay behind the theme of “darkness” (which is of course reflected in our project’s name DDNBC), complementing each other just so well. All tracks have been exclusively crafted for the album and have been finished by our trusted & longtime partners for mastering and vinyl cutting - LXC808.COM - R.A.N.D. Muzik, Leipzig (Germany).

„Conspiracy“ comes with a full digital album, and a limited edition (4 track) 12” Vinyl (100 copies only!) including many of the talents and artists from previous and upcoming Dark Drum&Bass Convention nights. The album is now available for pre-order on www.ddnbc.bandcamp.com
On Bandcamp only: there are two Bonus tracks, and you get 6 tracks instantly! All other tracks will be previewed or premiered this week! Many thanks to all artists and engineers! With love from Leipzig - Chris
