POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

After 18 years as a student of yoga, I’ve had many, many days and even weeks, when the last thing I wanted to do was practise.

When life felt too busy.
When grief felt too heavy.
When exhaustion ran so deep.
When the pressures of life felt just a little too loud.

In those moments, it would have been easy to walk away from yoga and everything it was asking of me.

But somewhere along the way, I made a choice to stay.
To keep showing up for myself and my practice, even when there was resistance.

And in doing so, I created space to connect with something deeper within me my devotion, my courage, and the quiet strength that lives beneath it all.

Because these qualities aren’t unique to me. They live within all of us.

Yoga is such an incredible gift thats been passed down for thousands and thousands of years. It helps us remember our innate power, our strength and our radiance.

It brings us back to ourselves. Back to what is true.

And sometimes, the most powerful practice isn’t the one where we feel our strongest. It’s the one where we simply choose to stay.

Man. Final show before maternity leave at 35 1/2 weeks pregnant was INCREDIBLE. The rain made it so epic - especially because somehow it made the crowd even more into it. Keith and the band and crew made me feel so loved and I don’t think it was just the pregnancy hormones that had me emotional 🥹 And I have to say - the people of Newfoundland?! I mean… the overwhelming positivity, not only in person but from online comments - is palpably different. It’s not that I get a ton of negative comments… but I haven’t seen ANY from the people of Newfoundland. 🫶🏻🫶🏻 Only adds to the charm and amazingness of spending time in St. John’s! I feel so grateful to have gotten to tour while carrying this baby. Even as it got harder, the support system from the KU crew made it so easy. It certainly takes a village!
Thank you @brenventure for getting the ultimate belly/backbend shot!! 😂😂 Can’t believe I could still do it at this point!
And thank you @frontrowlady for sharing your photos as well!!! So amazing!

Being a yoga teacher means constantly finding new ways to create an experience for your students, and music can be such a powerful part of that. 🎶

The right song can help us move with intention, breathe a little deeper, soften into stillness, or drop into a yin practice.

Along with so many other things, I’ll be sharing artists + songs I love to flow to, breathe to, and meditate to. ✨

Follow along as I share more of the sounds that inspire my classes and personal practice, free guides to help you as a teacher, and tips for practitioners of all levels.

And comment PLAYLIST and I’ll send you these first five songs your way. 🎧

The Time in Between 🌱 It is not the beginning. It is not the end. It is simply the time in between.

The latest single from Luz Café, our art and music project. Creating the artwork for this release and watching it come to life is a challenging but rewarding process. Getting to share that creative experience with my husband by blending his music with my illustrations makes each release feel even more meaningful.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

🎶 The Time in Between is now streaming on Spotify, Apple Music & YouTube.
