Introducing my latest purchase! VW Phaeton GP2. I have always wanted one of these, and finally came across one with the spec I wanted. Later model with the updated infotainment system, LED bi-xenon lights, dynaudio, power boot, 18 way heated cooling massage seats etc etc.

So far I’ve a set of lowering links and spacers to try get the stance better. Apple CarPlay has been installed too.

Got a few age related things to address over the coming months, before the inevitable set of bigger wheels 🙈🤣

The continent isn’t isolated.
#piech @phaeton_owners_uk @vw_robert #verybritish #phaeton #gläsernemanufaktur #vwmanufaktur #volkswagen #vagcars #w12 #gentlemandriver #uk #edinburgh #phaeton_freunde @andyboulcott

Another epic drive today. We began in Munich, where we returned to the Schneider Weisses restaurant for the traditional Bavarian breakfast weißwurst with sweet mustard and pretzels. Then a quick hop to Erding to see if the Erdinger brewery shop had any decent merch (spoiler alert, they did!).

Following this we headed south towards the Alps, passing through Bad Tölz, Mittenwald (where we were pursued under blue lights by the German Polizei, who wanted to check our documents. Thankfully nothing more than a quick check and they politely wished us a safe trip). We then hit the Austrian border, went through Seefeld and Innsbruck before taking the Brenner Pass to Vipiteno, crossing the border into Italy.

Then the fun began! The Jaufenpass (or Passo Giovo) snakes its way to the Italian mountain resort Merano, our next destination, via multiple hairpin bends, sheer cliff drops and a summit of 2094m. It was certainly fun in a 2.5 ton Phaeton 🤣🤣🤣

All checked into Hotel Kiendl, where it's time to unwind and relax for a couple of days before slowly making our way back north and home.
