💈 COMMUNITY. SERVICE. IMPACT. 💈

What an incredible day at the Community Baby Shower & Family Health Fair! 💙

One of my favorite parts of the event was seeing fathers and fathers-to-be receive complimentary haircuts while families connected with resources, giveaways, support services, and community partners.

A HUGE thank you to @_rubc for showing up in a major way and bringing an amazing team of student barbers and professional barbers @phalenvaughn_ @crispyrazor @ceaz.cutz_ @_.andoo._ @prodigyfades619 @thank_jah_eatery led by instructor CJ. Your willingness to serve the community and donate your time and talent made a real difference.

I also want to give a special shout-out to the Riggins alumni who returned to volunteer and to Fallon for stepping up and supporting this initiative as well. 👏🏽💈

Together, this team provided free haircuts, encouragement, and positive representation for fathers in our community leading into Father’s Day. Seeing the smiles, confidence, and appreciation from the dads reminded us why community partnerships matter.

Thank you to every barber who volunteered, every father who sat in the chair, and every community partner who helped make the day a success.

Thrive & Shine Academy San Diego was honored to coordinate this portion of the event and support such an amazing group of professionals and future professionals.

This is what community looks like. 💜

This past week and a half we connected with the communities that were affected by the floods and provided over 1000 home cooked meals.

In our coming together we shared more than just a meal. We shared hope, compassion, and a reminder that no one should go hungry or be left behind. Let’s continue to uplift our unhoused neighbors and create a world where everyone has a seat at the table. 🤎
