Cannabis/CBD brands: If your email marketing isn’t generating 30–40%+ of your store’s revenue, you’re leaving money on the table.

Your website pop-up e-commerce form is an integral part of your email revenue engine — and it has to be handled strategically, not randomly.

For most ecommerce brands, a well-optimized popup should aim for 8–12%+ conversion.

Here’s a quick teardown and my thought process on a real popup example.

Case study: @pharmcbd

Pharm CBD’s pop-up is simple and frictionless.
One field = quick signup. That’s a good foundation.

But there are clear opportunities to improve conversion.

<> Weak points

• The 25% OFF offer feels generic
Most CBD brands run similar percentage discounts. This creates what I call offer fatigue — prospects have seen it too many times to feel urgency.

• The design is easy to ignore
It blends into the page instead of interrupting attention.

• The copy lacks persuasive power
There’s no strong reason to sign up now beyond “get a discount.”

<>Solutions & Strategic Improvements

Strategy 1: Reframe the Offer (Quick Win)

Instead of a generic 25% off, Pharm CBD should A/B test a dollar-amount discount.

Why?
Because clarity on what’s in it for the prospect drives higher conversions.

Let’s break this down.

Looking at Pharm CBD’s product pages, a reasonable estimated AOV appears to be around $75–$90.

If we use an $80 base AOV, 25% off equals $20.

Instead of saying “25% off”, test framing it as:

• $20 off orders $80+
• $25 off orders $100+
• $15 off orders $60+

Same discount.
Different perception.

This is the psychology behind higher-performing popup offers — and why some offers outperform others even when they’re mathematically similar.

Strategy 2: Use a Pop-up teaser

Teasers are statistically proven to improve pop-up conversions.

Why?

Because they make the offer harder to ignore instead of forcing an immediate decision.

Here’s two truths about time…🚨

1. We make time for the things that are important us.

2. We can create more time for tomorrow if we are intentional and use it effectively today.

We have to stop looking at time invested in our overall well-being as an expense and start looking at it as an investment📈

You multiply your time by spending time on things today that create more time and opportunities tomorrow.

Dedicating time daily to invest in the improvement of your health and wellness will create more time and opportunities for the things you truly love and value tomorrow.

Live & Love Boldly,

Nick Mundy
