Get to know know: The Brotherhood of Great Hearts

This ensemble one of the bands one has to experience live to witness its depth. They are all not strangers to the Basement bandstand, but for the first time on our stage they come together on the 12 of July ((tickets are live on Quicket))

Following a standing-ovation debut at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival 2026, marking the centenary of South African reedman Kippie Moeketsi.

The Brotherhood of Great Hearts is now official, featuring Tumi Mogorosi (@tumi.mogorosi), Maxwell Baloyi (@maxwell_baloyi), Nhlanhla Radebe (@nhlanhlanevilleradebe), Lesedi Ntsane (@lesedintsanemusic), Muhammad Dawjee (@muhammad_dawjee_) & Kagiso Ramela (@kg_ramela).
