There’s something strangely addictive about testing how many muscle-ups you’ve really got in the tank. 🫠

Shoulders might give up, but at least my @frog_grips won’t. 🐸

20 years behind the hairdressing chair and the damage I keep seeing isn’t only from straighteners.

It’s the sauna, the hot pilates studio, the sun on your morning run.
Heat adds up. So the care has to be DAILY!

Ember Silk is coming. 🔥

Follow along, and join the waitlist via the link in bio.

WTF is too much muscle anyway?

This body has battled anorexia, stood on podiums, grown two beautiful babies, breastfed for a combined 2.5 years, and made its way back onto the competition floor.

This is only the beginning 😉

I’m gonna own this. 💃🏽

Training isn’t always exciting.

A lot of the time it’s the same lifts, the same intervals, the same running, the same accessories… over and over again.

But then you get days like this 🤌🏼

Triple unders. Going upside down. Toes to bar. Throwing a ruck on your back and doing weird shit just because you can 😂

And honestly, that’s what I love most about CrossFit.

All the “boring” work is what gives you the strength, fitness and capacity to PLAY with your fitness.

Being fit enough to do cool shit is the reward 🫶🏼

Some girls want skinny.

I want “she definitely does CrossFit” from across the room.

Last week we were answering questions for our podcast and one of them was along the lines of…

“How do you not feel guilty spending so much time training when you have kids?”

Because I don’t believe being a good mum means giving up every part of yourself that existed before you became one.

I’m a better mum when I’m also still me.

Training is something I genuinely love. It gives me energy, purpose, confidence and time to fill my own cup, and when I have those things, I have so much more of myself to give to my boys.

That doesn’t mean there aren’t sacrifices.

For me, it means waking up earlier. Getting most of my training done while they’re still asleep, so that when they come to the gym, I’m finishing up.

Then training is done and I can be MUM.

I can be present. I can play with them, take them places, chase them around, listen to them and actually have the capacity to enjoy those moments.

Because I know myself well enough to know that if I stopped doing the things that make me feel like me, I wouldn’t magically become a better mum.

I’d probably become a more tired, less fulfilled version of myself with less to give.

And I think also it’s inspiring for them to see their mum happy, healthy, passionate, chasing dreams and doing things we love too. 🫶🏼
