#Deep_INsessioNZ #Ep142 50/50 Look, it’s no secret—we live and breathe Aotearoa music. It’s the soundtrack to our days and the raw voice of our reality. But you already know we hold pure respect for the international foundation and the global heavyweights who set the blueprint. This week, we’re switching things up with a 50/50 test: throwing our homegrown powerhouses toe-to-toe in the mix alongside the biggest artists on the planet. Pure local grit meets world-class heat. How does our sound stack up against the best in the game? • Shadow Boxing (Om Unit Remix) – Om Unit, Nasty Habits • Together (Paige Julia Remix) – Sanoi • Air – BICEP (feat. SOARR) • Empty Spaces Missing Units (Module's Happy Human Remix) – Pitch Black • You Wish (Abbey Road Fuzz Gospel Version) – Nightmares On Wax, Mozez • Guru – Ladi6 • 528 – Nomine & Youngsta • Devil's Game – Truth • Say It – Photek • Small Gains – Tokyo Prose • Jungle Daze (Break Remix) (feat. Natalie Williams) – Goldie • Another Level (Level Up Remix) (feat. MC Antsman) – The Nomad Light it up! Crank up that sub as we deep dive OUR sound from the underground. Whakakāngia, whakanuia te rōrahi o te pūoro panguru, i a tātou e ruku hōhonu ana ki tā tātou ake momo puoro i ahu mai i te ao o raro. 🔊 Live tonight 12am to 1am 89.0 FM Greater Waikato Wide 🔊 On demand using the links below ⏬️ 🔊 Accessmedia.nz https://share.google/iKDAg15ZjUfNTyGzo 🔊 Apple podcasts 🍎 https://share.google/YP7xR2MmHKAGTli40 Free FM CAMA - Community Access Media Alliance NZ On Air Music PHDM Records #Deep_INsessioNZ #bettermusicradio #SSSD aotearoa drumandbass dubstepmusic

Deep Insessionz #Ep141 Earthshock What happens when you take feedback loops on mixing boards, prepared guitars, contact mics strapped to bar glasses, and run them through a distinct Māori lens? In this session, we sit down with Earthshock—a one-person, many-machines experimental sonic project hailing straight out of the Waikato. Blending the foundations of musique concrète and raw noise with deep political commentary, Earthshock crafts immersive aural art out of virtually anything electronic that throws a signal. From sculpting soundscapes out of sampled oddities to using audience-driven taonga puoro to physically drown out and erase recorded hate speech, this is music as both pure sound study and active resistance. We crack open the hood on the chaos behind the hardware. Light it up, crank up that sub as we deep dive OUR sound from the underground. Whakakāngia, whakanuia te rōrahi o te pūoro panguru, i a tātou e ruku hōhonu ana ki tā tātou ake momo puoro i ahu mai i te ao o raro. • Earthshock – Fury Of The Deep • Earthshock – Buffer Jam • Earthshock R22C– Urban Decay (Heavy) • Earthshock – The Wake • Fat Freddy's Drop – Bohannon • Earthshock – Gentle Echoes • Earthshock – Wavewarp 🔊 Live tonight 12am to 1am 89.0 FM Greater Waikato Wide 🔊 On demand using the links below ⏬️ 🔊 Accessmedia.nz https://share.google/DBcRHWGJjsUiOvCsQ 🔊 Apple podcasts 🍎 https://share.google/LOuy6ZzSkKx3HytTU Free FM CAMA - Community Access Media Alliance NZ On Air Music PHDM Records #accessmedia #bettermusicradio #Deep_INsessioNZ #SSSD Aotearoa musiqueconcrete experimental pies

Deep Insessionz #Ep140 Dust, Digits & Dissapointment. Dust. Digits, and almost guaranteed disappointment. Wander into the Free FM archive as #SSSD is once again forced to dig into our cultural heritage—not through any grand artistic vision, but because a pair of cheap plastic dice demanded it. We kick off in the usual grim territory: heavy acoustic wallowing specifically engineered to ensure your coffee gets cold while you stare blankly at a water stain on the ceiling, calculating every poor life decision since 2008. There’s a fleeting, tragic second of vocal grace that almost tricks you into feeling something, right before the tempo slumps back into brooding tension and low-end basslines tailored for rooms full of thirty-somethings pretending their lumbar spines aren't quietly giving up. From there, it’s a reluctantly endured dive straight into mid-2000s chest-puffing and bravado. A bleak reminder of an era of oversized tees, polyphonic ringtones, and insufferable posturing that somehow convinced an entire generation they were invincible. It’s thick, suffocating nostalgia, forced upon you with zero remorse and zero polish. If the selection infuriates you, don't write in—complain to the dice. It’s a completely random, deeply flawed experiment, and #SSSD is just as much a victim of the rotation as you are. Still, against all reasonable logic, for a pair of isolated rocks stuck at the bottom of the ocean, the noise scraped out of the dark recesses of the FreeFM archive still continues to punch well above its weight. Tracklist: • White Wall - Maaka • Maisey Rika - Whakaaria Mai • The Sagittarian - INSANE (Radio Extended Mix) • Tony Lee - Angels In The Rain • Shapeshifter - Diamond Trade • King Kapisi feat. The Mint Chicks - Superhuman • Scribe feat. Con Psy & Savage - Not Many (The Remix) • Nesian Mystik - Lost Visionz • Dei Hamo - We Gon Ride • Misfits Of Science - Can't Leave You Alone • Fast Crew - I Got Light it up, crank up that sub as we deep dive OUR sound from the underground Whakakāngia, whakanuia te rōrahi o te pūoro panguru, i a tātou e ruku hōhonu ana ki tā tātou ake momo puoro i ahu mai i te ao o raro.

Deep Insessionz #Ep139 0474:8455 Data:Bass Network. How’s My Mixing? Reality is a myth waiting for a better script. Turn back to central Tāmaki Makaurau, 2002. Smoke-filled dive bars on K Road, rogue signals, and three heads triggering an underground meltdown:0474:8455 and the Data:bass Network. !39Z, Romantech, and Culprit built a guerilla collective to sabotage the mainstream. No gatekeepers, no industry permissions—just raw Aotearoa jungle, d&b, UKG, and experimental low-end, backed by thousands of illegal stickers, pirate airwaves, burned CD-R samplers, and legendary parties from back-alley basements to shut-down halls. VJs, street artists, ravers, and a cartoon anti-hero named Boh Skeletor. We didn't ask for a seat at the table; we hijacked the sound system. Consider this a living archive of Aotearoa bass culture. From the caff to the K.erb to the club - Midnight to morning light. This is 0474:8455 Data:bass Network. How’s my mixing? TRACKLIST: Small Turtle – Romantech Vs Catguts Everyday – Jamie Newman Romantech_presents _Lickwicked (promo) Battle Cat – State Of Mind Search & Destroy – Kyren Vs Fiction Thanatos (edit) – Audioslut Metrosound – Romantech The Parable of Boh Skeletor – ??? 0474:8455 Adventures of Lemmywinx (Dubside - Archhill Kriptziz Rmx) – ??? 0474:8455 Empty Streets – Kyren Light it up, crank up that sub as we deep dive OUR sound from the underground. Whakakāngia, whakanuia te rōrahi o te pūoro panguru, i a tātou e ruku hōhonu ana ki tā tātou ake momo puoro i ahu mai i te ao o raro. 🔊 Live tonight 12am to 1am 89.0 FM Greater Waikato Wide 🔊 On demand using the links below ⏬️ 🔊 Accessmedia.nz https://share.google/TRqlvSCttRI6CtiOw 🔊 Apple podcasts 🍎 https://share.google/3UcnsiXOqfrpY48Be Free FM NZ On Air Music CAMA - Community Access Media Alliance PHDM Records #accessmedia #bettermusicradio #Deep_INsessioNZ #SSSD Aotearoa drumandbass drumandbassmusic jungle karangahaperoad DataBass Skeletor

Deep Insessionz #Ep138 Shift/Shadow/Counterpoint. Aotearoa: the land of the long white cloud. Alone, isolated, thriving, mysterious, beautiful, dark, complex, bathed in light, land of plenty, land of have-nots. Forged on absolutisms under the yoke of the past, only to emerge a glittering example to the world in abject times of unease in what is good, correct, and forward-thinking. This session reaches into the metaphysics of this concept. Don't worry, it's not too obscure or abrasive—but it does serve as a juxtaposition, and that’s the why. 🔊 Live tonight 12am to 1am 89.0 FM Greater Waikato Wide 🔊 On demand using the links below ⏬️ 🔊 Accessmedia.nz https://share.google/eqZoE0d8H0l0bzbrF 🔊 Apple podcasts 🍎 https://share.google/Ika90U8rlcLR0jfJx Dissolved Orders – Ulcerate Stories of Fallen Aristocrats – Birchville Cat Motel Years Gone By – Avantdale Bowling Club Circade (Magicman Remix) – Antix Splat! – Balterspace Drawn Together (Dub Edit) – Soulware Punganangana (Dub) – Toroa Bitcher – The Dead C Light it up, crank up that sub as we deep dive OUR sound from the underground. Whakakāngia, whakanuia te rōrahi o te pūoro panguru, i a tātou e ruku hōhonu ana ki tā tātou ake momo puoro i ahu mai i te ao o raro.
