* *A huge thanks to friends and chosen family who came from far and wide to Recology for the last PUPUSA FACE weekend! I’m super grateful and I don’t have the words— just Thank You! Thank you! Thank you! Thanks for taking the time to come down and see the work in person one last time and grab a print!

The ‘Pupusa Face’ collection was a real confirmation of community and love!

Last night, Allison and I wrapped up the show 😢 and I am forever changed. So blessed!

Today is a birthday of sorts…
It’s my 3 year anniversary as an independent artist!

Living off my art for over one thousand days has been a dream come true! For sure the most thrilling, beautiful scary and ultimately rewarding experience of my life!

Some days I’m on a swing stage and some days I’m on all fours painting the literal ground.

Some days I feel like I got it in the bag, most days I have no idea what I’m doing!
Some days I’m all alone, others I’m with all my friends, some days I feel like I’m getting mopped, stomped and on and stepped on— others I’m walking on sunshine.

We out here —
Means just that— like my homie Chris says
That sometimes means WE OUT HERE on a limb
Tryna see how far we can take it

One thing is for sure, I would not be here without the LORD holding my hand and guiding my path. As long as Papa is up there, I shall not want.

I am grateful for the support of my family, loved ones and supporters! Thank you for holding me up— de corazon.
Please know every time I face a wall I do it with you in my mind + heart. I also carry with me titans like Yolanda López, Los Siete, Cuba1, Jesse ‘Spider’ Tavizon, Rene Yañez, Dream1, Sotoa PHRY, GEB, Miguel Martinez, Sean Monterrosa, Alex Nieto, Mario Woods, QR Hand, Ted Pushinsky, Alfonso Texidor, MINGO ESEPH, Luis Cervantes, Isaac Espinoza and my father Julio Cesar Rojas.

More flicks, shoutouts and and rare shots coming—

Thanks for those who have and continue to sew seeds into my art and practice— sent me work, brought me water/food— rolled up their sleeves and got dirty with me and taken a sec to check in, to shoot me an encouraging word— I am here for you and I’m eternally grateful.

I’ll post and share the journey all month
For now— Much love and thank you!
God is good!

Let’s keep it going
An SF Mission original is still here doing it!
Standing on grace with a brush in my hand and I will stay here as long as ♾️🔥✊🏾

Initiating the initial sketch is typically an enjoyable phase of painting.
