The idea was to bring the ARTS to this community. We arrived and found people who had been without water for a month, roads that haven’t been serviced in years, and schools being shutdown due to protests. We found snakes, scorpions, lived with a hyena, had very little cellphone reception, and I think I’ve finally gotten over my fear of monkeys. But more than that we found a group of young people yearning for bigger and better. Some of them had never set foot on a stage and by the end of it, they gave their people THEATRE. These kids gave me so much light and love. February was God smiling at us. I’m grateful. My cup is full🖤🙏🏾

Some images just ooze royal treatment. It took me a minute to figure out how I was going to alter it. @phetolo_grinders #digitalart #digitalillustration #digitalcollage
