We’re not gonna do a “Wrapped” thingee this year. Speaking for myself, every year, I’d find myself getting unreasonably bothered by the numbers and giving myself a proper inferiority complex about it all. Things are a fair bit different this year; we finally released our album and loads of people listened to the thing and that’s really cool (and when I say “loads” I mean 10 times more than any previous year for us, yet a few shy of Imagine Dragons), but I can’t believe that the stats on this one platform are the only metric that determines whether you’re doing well or not. That said, I learned two things that were quite meaningful to me: 1) We were in 17 humans top 10 artists for the year. When you remove us narcissistic band members from the equation, that’s 11-12 people that thought our album was good enough to listen to loads, and that means the absolute fucking world. 2) People really like the two songs we never play live, so I guess we should sort that out. More than anything else, we’ve had a much easier time booking shows and that’s making me feel pretty alright about how things have been going, and that we’re entertaining and worth seeing and whatnot. Including this weekend, we will have played 22 shows this year and we’ve got 6 in the diary for 2026 already, which may as well be 100 shows for old fuckers like us. We met a large amount of really lovely people, bands, promoters, sound engineers, peeps running merch, all the humans who make this scene what it is. All the shows were great in one way or another, even the ones that weren’t as well attended were really enjoyable just for a fact I was surrounded by good, interesting people. Too many bands to say cheers to, but I want to thank Signature Brew Haggerston, Shadow Promotions DIY, Be Sharp Promotions, Thomas Butterworth, Business Punk Promotions, Ode To Sleep, Manchester Punk Festival, The Lady Luck Bar, Pizza Party Promo, The Fighting Cocks Bar & Live Music Venue, Herofest, Real Life Presents, Snatch Game and PhilanthroPunks for putting us on and just generally being a large carton of lovely eggs. Thanks!

FOUR more shows this year; Stratford, Reading, New Cross and Manchester respectively. 22 times on stage this year, that’s bloody loads for us and it’s been our biggest year by miles. Cheers if you’ve caught us already, but please come to one of these. It’s my birthday this weekend, so I’d love to see a couple pals. Beyond that not two weekends later we’re playing Don’t Worry’s Christmas party at our home away from home in New Cross, followed by a trip to Manchester for a massive Drag x Punk festive decadence blowout.

If you can’t do any of these things, give our record a listen. Appreciate all the cool and intricate little guitar and bass bits, feel the power of the drum slapping. Absorb my rich, critically acclaimed by like 5 people lyrical dexterity. Engage with us a little bit and tell us that we’re great, I’m feeling needy and typed a fair few words this morning.
