And… cut… that’s a wrap! @somerset_art_works Somerset Art Weeks Festival is over! We are so grateful to everyone who visited and supported us over the two weeks, and would like to say a very special to Michael from @comeytrowe_equestrian for allowing us to exhibit at such a special venue, which perfectly complemented our work. The weather behaved which is a relief, and so are visitor numbers based on multiple people’s satnavs literally taking them down closed roads with no access to the venue! Thank you for your perseverance in finding us… we hope you felt it was worthwhile.

We are hoping to run another event at the venue in the future so watch this space. In the meantime farewell. 💕

No one thread makes a place. Every hand that reaches for one does.

•What binds us • Tapestry has come together.
Over two weeks, visitors to @highercomeytrowecreatives wove their own thread into this piece. A woven record of everyone who took part in Cultural Connections theme for @somerset_art_works festival 2026.

Can you spot yours?

Woven with vibrant and soft to touch wool from the wonderful @jarbontextiles mill near South Molten.

Thank you to everyone who stopped, chose a colour and added their thread. This piece belongs to all of you ❤️

And a big thank you from myself and fellow exhibitors

Unbelievably, today is the last day of @somerset_art_works Somerset Art Weeks Festival 2026, which we’re all upset about. 😢 It’s been lovely collectively coming together to exhibit as the Higher Comeytrowe Creatives, and in doing so welcoming so many lovely visitors to our beautiful venue at @comeytrowe_equestrian on the outskirts of Taunton. If you haven’t already been, we are open one final time from 10am - 5pm today, after which the curtain closes.

Note: NO ACCESS FROM COMEYTROWE LANE… details below ⬇️

We have heard from many people that their car satnavs are struggling to direct them to our venue. This is due to the satnavs not being aware there is no access to Higher Comeytrowe where we are located, nor for the partially built Orchard Grove Housing estate, from Comeytrowe Lane, due to construction of the estate. The only way to access the venue is via the road through Orchard Grove.

We include a map of Taunton on page 2 for your reference. Essentially whether you are coming from Taunton direction (towards Wellington), or from Wellington direction (towards Taunton), you access our venue from the new roundabout on the A38 between Stonegallows and Rumwell, and next to the Wellington Road Park&Ride (Orchard Grove Park&Bus).

Turn into the housing estate onto Egremont Road and follow it through the estate all the way until you reach a turning on the right for Lipe Hill Lane, turn here, and almost immediately turn right into Higher Comeytrowe Farm Lane. Follow the lane up to Higher Comeytrowe Farm / Comeytrowe Equestrian. We are located in the courtyard on the left next to the farmhouse.

We look forwards to seeing you!

What a lovely evening we had for late-night opening. Thanks to all that came! Just had to share these pictures of our venue, located at @comeytrowe_equestrian, not only is it the perfect space to exhibit our artwork, but it is beautiful day and night! 😍

Just 3 days left of @somerset_art_works Somerset Art Weeks 2026 in which to visit… these pictures really do not do justice to the venue, so please come along, have a cup of tea, coffee, or soft drinks, and take a look for yourself. There is free parking on-site with plenty of room, and public conveniences too. We’re open 10am - 5pm daily. See you soon. ☺️

A busy day at venue 17 today for @somerset_art_works Somerset Art Weeks Festival 2026… day 8 is done. Day 9 tomorrow, and potentially some wind and rain is forecast. Fortunately we are an all-weather venue with free parking in close proximity. You can visit all 8 artists without stepping outside. Plenty to see and a great exhibition to visit on wet and windy day.

Hope to see you tomorrow.

Day 7 of @somerset_art_works Somerset Art Weeks Festival 2026. We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone that has visited and supported us, it’s truly appreciated.

We are open from 10am to 5pm today, and look forward to showing you round are amazing exhibition space at The Courtyard, Higher Comeytrowe, Taunton, TA4 1EQ. @comeytrowe_equestrian

We have had some feedback that our venue is difficult to find. To help we posted a clip of the drive-in from #taunton direction a few days ago here on Instagram. Basically head to Orchard Grove housing development on the Wellington Road, between Stonegallows and Rumwell. Turn into the development and follow the main road all the way through to an area where ground works for new homes is done. Here on the right you will see a road called Lipe Hill Lane which you turn into, then immediately right again into Higher Comeytrowe Farm Lane. Followed the road all the way up to Comeytrowe Equestrian.
