The wine in Santa Barbara County is special, as are the stories of the vintners and winemakers who humbly collaborate with the sun, sea and soil to make it. I’m still glowing with good energy from my press trip to the area last week with 7 other writers from around the country.

Leg of lamb, @ottolenghi shwarma marinade and @angusandoink shwarma rub. Into the egg at midnight Saturday, indirect 100c, cook finished at 10am Sunday, rested for a few hours…..washed down with a beautiful pinot from @jim_clendenen

Tasting Group Bound - Life has felt rough recently. There has been challenge and loss and stress. Sometimes in times like these, an evening spent in good company, with good wine and great food is just the dose of medicine needed.
