For an entire week, the WORGBEV International Baseball Classic U-11 Canada 2026 became a true international baseball celebration. Families, government officials and fans, local and international, filled our facilities with joy, flags, applause, cheers, and unforgettable emotions regardless of the weather conditions.

I’m still salty about losing the balut eating contest, but I’m still very happy to have gotten to be part of the 15th Annual Philfest Sauga last week 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭!! I say with full and unabashed bias that the Filipino community truly brings an abundance of heart and soul to our city, and we definitely showed it with this year’s festival. Let’s hope I can bring the same game to Council!

Let’s also take the time to recognize the importance of big festivals for all communities in our cities. They bring people together, they expose communities to new cultures, they reinforce inclusive environments, they bring huge business and visitors to our city…I could go on.

When I ask people at the doors what makes them happy in Mississauga - it’s events like these.

Salamat, and congratulations @philfestsauga on your best one yet. Think we can have more balut next year??

Sometimes you gotta take a break from doorknocking to enjoy yourself, enjoy your city, and reconnect with old friends!

Whirlwind weekend tour starting at Peel Police’s Community Fun Day, then a stop at the 15th Annual Philfest Sauga, and a visit to some Ward 7 BBQs. Then we had a great time meeting with the congregation at the Jesus is Lord Church today!

Some of the people you see here I’ve served the community with for years. Some of them I’ve just met this weekend. All of them are people I want to continue bringing together to serve Ward 7 and Mississauga.

Day 2 at PhilFest 🇵🇭

One of my favourite things is running into friends I don’t always get to see.

Beautiful weather, Filipino culture, familiar faces, and a chance to simply celebrate each other.

There’s something special about being together in the heart of Mississauga and feeling that sense of community.

Grateful for days like this.

One of the most beautiful parts of Ryle’s World Baseball experience wasn’t just the baseball,it was the friendships he made along the way. ⚾️🌎❤️

Ryle gained new friends from Venezuela 🇻🇪, Aruba 🇦🇼, and the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴, and they are truly some of the sweetest, most humble, and kind kids. 🥹❤️

It’s amazing how baseball can bring kids from different countries together and create friendships that go far beyond the game. 🌎🤝⚾️

So grateful for these memories, the new friendships, and the beautiful experience Ryle got to be part of. These are the moments and connections he’ll carry with him for years to come. ❤️

Hindi lang basketball. May Filipino baseball community pala rito sa Canada — and they’re playing for the Philippines.

Tag someone who needs to see this.

🇵🇭 What an incredible experience! 🇵🇭

Ryle had the amazing opportunity to play and represent Team Philippines at the World Organization Baseball event, and we couldn’t be more grateful! ❤️

A huge thank you to Ryan @raw_baseball for making this experience possible, creating unforgettable memories, and putting so many smiles on the kids’ faces. 🥰

And of course, thank you to all the amazing coaches @coach.gabem @joejimenez2 @ryan_paul15 for your time, support, encouragement, and for being there for all the kids every step of the way. 🙏🏼

The kids had an absolute blast, made new friends, and created memories they’ll carry with them for a long time. ❤️

What an amazing experience! Thank you again for making it all happen! ⚾️🇵🇭
