And with that, all seven of the magical Harry Potter full-cast audio editions are now available exclusively from @audible

Over two years were spent tailoring and creating 125 hours of audio. Our team recorded real-life steam trains for the Hogwarts Express, gargled eggs to create the raspy breaths of the Dementors, and combined all members of the animal kingdom to create the sound of the dragons!

We couldn’t be prouder to have been the sound design and supervision team behind this incredible series.

A huge thank you to Audible and Pottermore for trusting us with something so special, and a huge congratulations to everyone involved for bringing this world to life in such a remarkable way.

To our wonderful String and Tins team: Lawrence, Will, Ellie, George, Jen, Damian, Kevin, Peter and Phil, for all your hard work and love you put into making this project so magical. And to our wider team, Rachel, Esi, Mike, Eimear, Millie, Amber, Laura-Leigh, Vincent, Ryan, Jim, Kaspar, Chris and Rick, thank you for helping to bring it all to life.

A true team effort from start to finish. Congratulations to all the post houses involved ❤️

What a magical year it’s been!

I’ve had the privilege these last 16 months to work on all seven of the Harry Potter Full-Cast Audio Editions as a sound designer and sound effects editor with the super team @stringandtins put together 🙌🏼

I’ve never worked with such a talented and lovely bunch of people 🫶🏼 I’ve learnt so much from all of you!

Tracklaying and designing in Dolby Atmos has been such a fun introduction to this awesome form of immersive storytelling and I’m not sure I want to go back to plain old stereo 😂

The first two books are out on Audible. If you get a chance to listen I hope you enjoy!

Merry Christmas 🎄

We’re thrilled to share that Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is now available exclusively from Audible. 🎧

As the sound design and supervision company for the project, it has been an honour to help present this story in richly detailed immersive audio. Building the sound of the wizarding world has been a remarkable journey.

From the dusty cupboard under the stairs to the roar of the Triwizard dragons, every object, creature, spell and place was crafted specifically for this production. It represents over a year of collaboration, precision and creativity, and it is only the beginning.

Huge thanks to Will and Lawrence, our sound supervisors, for leading the process every step of the way.

To Ellie, George, Jen, Damian, Kevin, Peter and Phil for their dedication and artistry. And to our wider team Rachel, Esi, Mike, Amber, Laura Leigh, Vincent, Ryan, Jim, Kaspar, Chris and Rick who helped bring it all to life.

We are also grateful to the teams at Audible and Pottermore for their trust and partnership in making this happen.

Here’s to Book One and to six more magical adventures ahead. ✨

Great fun at the @zsllondonzoo live food station, recording the sounds of bugs during a @thescclub meet-up with Michael Maroussas and @philleeaudio . Huge thanks to all the staff for showing us around and for explaining the important conservation work that the Zoological Society does 🙏🙌

The Sound Collectors Club is a crowdsource sound effects collective started in 2010 by Michael Maroussas, as a way to build shared sound collections and socialise with likeminded sound folk all around the world. It has become a solid catalogue. You share your sound, you access everyone else’s. Link in the bio if you want to join or just go to @thescclub ’s bio, and give that fresh account a follow if you will.
