I’ve been a little quiet on here recently - lots of beautiful weddings to work through, and unfortunately I haven’t been able to share everything I’ve photographed, as some couples prefer not to share their images on social media.

So I’m especially happy that C & T have kindly agreed for me to share a little of their beautiful day.

They married at the Island Blockhouse in St Ives, before heading to Cove Cafe in Hayle for an intimate celebration with their closest family and friends. It was such a beautiful, relaxed day, perfectly suited to these two - a couple who share such a love for the outdoors, from running and swimming to exploring together.

The intimacy, the connection, the laughter, the sea - it was such a privilege to be there :-)

Also, a shout out to @covecafehaylebeach and @philleighway for the exquisite vegan feast - I’ll definitely be coming back for more! 🌿❤️

It all started with a cattle field on the Roseland, a week of site building in the rain, and thick fog over a view you couldn’t see - and then, as if by magic, the sun came out and it became everything that we had dreamed for Ross and Fran’s incredible day.

And although I’d like to put a claim in for the booking of the most gorgeous weather and the sunset dolphin display 🐬 , the reality was that we had three different plans for wet weather, mid weather and gorgeous sunshine, which required a huge amount of flexibility with logistics and last-minute decision making.

Outside ceremony @ceremonieswithjanemarie under the shell arch, beautifully decorated by @wildrosecornwall, all sides open on the @cornishtentcompany stretch tent, sundowner cocktails served by the incredible @serve.southwest team, sound tracked by @bdskyscrapers and guests well fed by @philleighway. Magic happened ✨

I’ve spent a little time today going through these photos and, honestly… WOW.
What a journey it’s been. 🥹

These are 49 memories from our Chat & Eat Night adventures, from 2014 – 2026. Looking back at them has made me realise just how much I/ Potluck Cornwall has achieved.

And this is only one part of the story. These photos don’t include all the Supper Clubs, Foraging Adventures, Bring & Share Potlucks, Host-a-Roasts, Feast Nights, food-related movie nights, cookery classes, collaborations and all the other food-fuelled adventures we’ve created along the way.

Fourteen years of living in Cornwall and I've eaten a heck of a lot of sensational food. 😂🍴

And, I’m incredibly proud to say, a whole lot of return business brought to Cornwall’s wonderful independent hospitality industry along the way.

What makes me proudest is why Potluck Cornwall started in the first place.
It was never just about going out for a meal.
It started predominantly from a desire to help tackle loneliness and isolation, to create spaces where people could turn up, sit around a table with strangers and leave having shared good food, stories, belly laughed and made a new friend or two.

And 49 Chat & Eat Nights later, that still gives me the biggest buzz. I’m so proud of what I’ve built, but I absolutely couldn’t have done it without you.
Every person who has booked a ticket, brought a friend, came along on their own, supported an event, shared a post, recommended Potluck to someone else or simply kept showing up, thank you. 🥰

You’ve helped make this little idea into something much bigger than I ever imagined. So here’s to Chat & Eat No.50 @konabar_ …and then, of course, the next 50 adventures.

I wonder where we’ll end up next…🍜😉

Guests aboard Silvesea’s Silver Spirit enjoyed some authentic Cornish culinary experiences this week, with a Cornish cookery experience as part of the ship’s S.A.L.T (Sea and Land Taste) programme at @philleighway and a pasty-making workshop in St. Mawes. 🥕🥔

The S.A.L.T. programme is a unique Silversea experience that enables guests to explore a destination’s cultural identity through food, including tastings ashore, onboard lectures, and menus inspired by local cuisines.

We hope they all remembered to eat their cream teas #jamfirst!

Thanks to Fal River for providing their scenic water shuttle service between County Wharf and Prince of Wales pier – what a great way to see more of our beautiful town 🚢

Just your average summer evening in Cornwall… ✨

A beautiful country house. An opera under the stars. Cornish caterers & coffee. Wonderful company. And, of course, a glass of Cornish Bubbles in hand. 🥂

Huge thanks to @parkhouseopera for such a magical evening, @philleighway for the lovely canapés and pre-show feast and @tidalcoffeevan for the delicious coffees with a smile 😃

Congratulations to the wonderful cast, orchestra and crew of The Merry Widow for a thoroughly entertaining evening. 🎭 👏

Fore Street’s new oasis offers a refreshing blend of wine, food and non-conformist personality.

Rupert Cooper, proprietor of the @philleighway Cookery School and owner of @cooperswinebar in Redruth, built his craft in the domestic kitchen, again putting in the hours until he felt confident enough to make a living from the bounty hefted from land and sea. As he says, “I love food and everything that comes with it, talking about it, eating it and cooking it.”
