Phillips Mill 97th Juried Art Show through November 1st.

EARLY SPRING, PATTERSON FARM
16 x 20, Plein Air | Oil Linen Panel, unframed

Patterson Farm is Pennsylvania's oldest continuously working farm, located in Bucks County.
I was there on a chilly, breezy June morning to capture the sun streaking across the original farmhouse in the early light. The cornfield was still fallow but I could see some of the rows from the previous harvest.

This painting is still available in the gallery or online, unframed. The spring greens are lovely....I love painting greens:)

APPLE BLOSSOMS AND GUINEA FOWL, another plein air painted at Terhune Orchards in Princeton, also an early June painting, has sold. 🔴

Stop in and see the exhibition or look at and shop the gallery online at phillipsmill.org

All wrapped up: this is the painting I used in my demo at @phillipsmillcommunity . The property owner was kind enough to confirm the name of the property along Stump Rd as “Belle Crest Farm” 🙏. Big thanks to the mill association and everyone who stopped to watch me paint or ask questions!

“I’ll just put this into a frame real quick”

Lots of little steps along the way that no one sees but they all matter. I counted 15-20 steps depending on the piece…no one wants a list right?

New piece, available, on the wall for Exhibit B Gallery’s final 3rd Friday pop-up of 2026. Good times ahead!!

Heading to Phillip’s Mill to gallery sit and represent my work in their epic 97th juried art show. I’ll be there from 1-3 today, hope you can make it. I’m also open to giving false historical facts about the mill and pretending to be psychic.

A very special honor.

I’m so grateful to share that my painting, The Depth Within, received the African American Art Award for a work depicting African American life, history, and/or culture at the 97th Phillips’ Mill Juried Art Show.

My sincere thanks to Mary and Herbert Flamer for generously giving this award, and to the jurors for recognizing this painting. I’m also so appreciative of the many volunteers at Phillips’ Mill whose time and dedication make this wonderful exhibition possible.

Portraiture, for me, is about looking beyond a likeness and trying to capture something of the person within—their presence, character, and humanity. That is what I hoped to express in The Depth Within, which makes this recognition especially meaningful.

I’ll be at Phillips’ Mill this Saturday from 3–5 PM for Meet the Artist. If you’re nearby, I would love for you to stop in, say hello, and see the exhibition.

Thank you to everyone who continues to follow and encourage my journey as an artist. It means more than you know.
