@mstoffee221 Jacqui Johnson, 66 years on this earth. My mother touched the hearts of many people! She will forever be remembered for her loving kindness, humor, compassion, gratitude, her wise counsel, her gentle touch, words of encouragement, her comfort, her strength, her resilience, her loyalty, her confidence, her beautiful brain, her sweet voice, her event planning, her cooking, her bright smile, her passion and care for family, her faith in Jehovah God. She was a unique woman, a precious gem that endured and overcame many trials. She was a huge football fan that adored the Philadelphia Eagles. She enjoyed being the President of the Ladies First Book club, she excelled in the customer service department at Geico for 15 years, she loved movies, shows, music, the news and soap operas! We loved our vacations where we could shop, try different foods at restaurants, go sightseeing and exploring and think of gifts to share with our friends. She taught me many valuable lessons and helped me see that even when you’re sick, tired and stressed in this life, you can do anything with Gods powerful hand! I look forward to paradise when we won’t suffer anymore. Now she can rest in peace next to her mother Augusta Marie Armstrong. It is an honor and blessing to be her daughter. Until we meet again mom 💙

2024 reflection
•
“Even those who limp go not backwards.”

finally took some time to reflect on the year that was 2024 and wow… this past year felt like the most complete year of my life yet. all the waves of emotions. i made many new friends and met many new faces, while wishing a final farewell to some familiar faces. i started the year grounded in my roots back home. i visited my grandmother’s headstone and finally finished grieving. i bought a car, i traveled the world with my woman, we went to weddings, i went from groomsman to pallbearer in the same week, i spent the holidays with family, i laughed a lot, and probably cried just as much. i rode the up and downs life threw at me. i learned to accept the fluctuations in my body and emotions. i’ve grown intimately in tune with myself and continue to grow in my understanding of self; what it means to be and to live, especially outside of my conditionings. i’m exploring my desires in life. i’ve felt uniquely human. scuffed up the kicks but it’ll buff. or i’ll just get a new pair. either way, journey continues…

this year was filled with lessons and memories that 20 photos could never truly capture or express. nonetheless i am grateful and look forward for those lessons yet to come.
