Some moments are bigger than music. 🕯️✡️

I was truly honored to perform a spoken-word version of my song “Never Again” at a cemetery memorial honoring the victims of Babi Yar in Ukraine, where tens of thousands of Jews were brutally murdered by the Nazis in 1941.

Standing before generations both young and old, I shared some of my most piercing lyrics, telling the heartbreaking stories of fear, suffering, and the struggle to survive during the Holocaust.

As a third-generation descendant of Holocaust survivors, this is deeply personal to me.

We must continue telling these stories, honoring those we lost, and making sure the next generation NEVER forgets.

Never Again isn’t just a song. It’s a promise.

Am Yisrael Chai. ✡️🇮🇱

This past week, our community gathered to honor and remember the victims and heroes of October 7th through two powerful, deeply moving screenings.

We extend our profound gratitude to our audiences who came together to bear witness, reflect, and stand as one.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the remarkable filmmakers and survivors who joined us in person, sharing their stories, their pain, hope, and their immense resilience.

An endeavor of this magnitude would not be possible without the generous, steadfast dedication of our sponsors, whose support sustains our mission throughout the entire year.

Thank you for being part of our story and our community.

Part of the real life global violence we're seeing against the Jewish community is an escalation of the hateful rhetoric we've been seeing online.

But as we saw at Thursday night's finale party of the @phillyjfm “Unapologetically Jewish” social media contest, Jews refuse to live in fear.
The contest brought together Jewish creators who spent the past few months showing the world what being Jewish means to us, in our own words and on our own platforms.

And it sparked some pretty powerful conversations.

Because these have been difficult years to be visibly Jewish.

Think about what it means that Jewish institutions, synagogues, theaters and community gatherings routinely need high security just so people can walk through the door.

Since October 7, we’ve seen Jewish people and institutions targeted in attacks around the world: the shooting outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., the deadly attack at the Bondi Beach Hanukkah celebration, the attack on a Yom Kippur congregation in Manchester, the firebombing of a Vancouver synagogue, the attack on a Jewish gathering in Boulder and other attacks on Jewish institutions and communities.

When Jews are repeatedly vilified and dehumanized, it erodes empathy and creates an environment where targeting Jews simply for being Jewish becomes easier to justify.

That’s why our stories matter.

Because despite the armed guards, our stories still need to be told.

We cannot leave the story of who we are to the people who hate us.

If we don’t tell our own stories, someone else will tell them for us. And too often, those stories will leave out our humanity, our history, our culture, our truth and our joy.

So follow Jewish social media accounts and help us amplify our stories.

Meanwhile, we will continue to create, perform, make art, innovate, build and support each other.

Because our answer to hatred is not disappearance.

It is to live our Jewish lives... unafraid, out loud.

May this be a day of reflection without self-punishment, accountability without shame, and compassion without excuses.

And may we remember that being human means we will sometimes get it wrong. What matters is what we do when we recognize it.

G’mar Chatimah Tovah. May we all be sealed for a year of greater honesty, courage, compassion, and connection.

Rosh Hashanah hits different when you realize it’s basically the ultimate remix — same great artist (you), fresh drop.

Time to press play on 5787, dip the apples till they’re basically a honey feature, and blast that shofar solo like it’s the key change everyone saw coming.

Here’s to a year with no skips, minimal static, and a chorus so sweet it’s stuck in your head till Yom Kippur.

Shanah Tovah, Jewsical fam!
May your year go platinum.
