Thank you God for saving us! Thank you for saving everybody! 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Gratitude to my cast and crew of D.R.E.A.M.= A WAY to AFRAM! Working together which each of you has made this journey rich with positivity and energy to do it again. Thank you Michelle Coltrane @michellecoltrane, Abijan Johnson, @lansanna, Joy Guidry @joe_wey, Alisha Wormsley @alishabwormsley, Mr.Hotspot @mr_hotspot, and the Houston BoyChoir @houston_boychoir under the direction of Mr. Austin Hunt and Ms. Carole Nelson.
Creating and designing an art installation, sound installation and directing and performing a performance in a traditional theatre setting definitely threw me some learning curves, which is why I am extra grateful for a crew that listens deeply, looks for solutions, and dares to dream as well. Thank you to Ashley DeHoyos, Eva Martinez, Jennifer Gardner and Xandra Eden of @diverseworks. Your whole staff rocks. 🚀💐📡
Also thank you Patrick Renner @prennerart for helping me design and bring to life the structure for my new instrument vision. You are instrumental. Thanks also Gory Smelley for working on this show and my Marfa installation unlit: sof landin.
My open installion began on Wednesday Sept 6, followed by two SOLDOUT performances on Thursday and Friday. This revival week was bookended with a day of public workshops led by myself and my friend/ collaborator
Alisha Wormsley.
Wow! Thank you all for coming far and wide to journey with us. Special love to @aerinvanhala, Sarah Melendez @xoyote from @ballroommarfa, #quiqualaurel, #hilarywilliams, and @lauraleezy for the support. More pics to come.

We did it!!! The last show of this run was amazing! Thank you @citywinerybos for such a great night. Every City Winery stop on this tour became my dance floor and yoga studio. The stages are clean with hardwood floors. I just rolled out my mat and started stirring up the energy. Now, I’ve gotta rest…Headed to New York and then down to Tennessee! See y’all on Juneteenth @thenmaam in Nashville and June 20th @staxmuseum in Memphis for the reading of my kid’s book! Free events 🌸👗
