A quick recap of the last 6 months… I learned to trust my intuition & found new love within myself & my beautiful babies, I presented my research at the National Convention of Undergraduate Research in Richmond, VA, I poured into the relationships that are full of love, kindness, & support, and ended those that have held me back….. And, I graduated with my B.S. in Public Health from the University of Central Oklahoma. I have never felt so celebrated, loved, and empowered. I’m grateful for this life & everyone who has been there for us.

On the last one I will break the rules. I get it; no explanations. Be there it goes: I know it’s not ONE photo but rather a collage. The collage has a theme and a MCD and that is @tomdeblass Tom has been the voice of sanity when I needed calm. Unexpectedly and with nothing for him to gain, he’s talked me out my plateaus and doubts. Anyone can show you a cool technique but not every coach is willing to give up his time to simply listen to you and give you valuable input. Why I collage? Because through Tom I have met some of the most incredible people in my Jiujitsu journey. When people ask me why I’m so obsessed with Jiujitsu and why i continue to do it despite all the injuries I’ve sustain, it all comes back to this. The Jiujitsu community is a different one. Strangers who come together and in a five, seven, ten or however long the roll is, and share an unbreakable bond that can’t be explained. Yeah, learning a submission is cool. I agree, rolling is incredibly fun. Sure, if you like competing the thrill is awesome. But more important than that, is the mental and emotional healing that Jiujitsu (and it’s practitioners) provide us with. #Martialartschallenge: Every day I select an image from a day in the life of Martial arts that has had an impact on me, or been a memorable moment, and post it without a single explanation. Then nominate somebody to take the challenge. That’s 10 days, 10 Martial arts photos, 10 nominations and 0 explanations. Be active, Be positive, Be passionate. Help Martial arts grow! Day 10 Casper Mendiola I nominate you
