What a crazy and unforgettable first year back in college. Came in nervous about a new place, new people, and a whole new chapter, but it turned into one of the best years of my life. Made amazing memories, built great friendships, found the best two roommates who became family, and joined the best fraternity, Sigma Pi. Heading home now and realizing how special this year really was. Can’t wait to be back at SRU

This Saturday was one of my “proud mom moments” but not for Artie. This moment was brought on by my 556 other “kids” here at SRU:

As I drove my commute from Ohio to Slippery Rock that morning all I kept thinking to myself was “What are you going to do when none of these students show up because it’s raining?” My mind was racing with what my game plan would be if only a few students showed up after I promised The Slippery Rock Rotary Club that we’d have about 200.

I pulled up with the golf cart to an empty parking lot and held my breath that the students wouldn’t let me down. I should have known better!

We had such a great group of volunteers. They worked in the pouring rain and I did not hear one complaint. I heard laughter, jokes, and folks saying they genuinely had a good time.

Sometimes events never go the way we planned them. You pick a date for an event months in advance and just roll the dice hoping it’ll work out. Today was one of those rare times where the event didn’t go to plan, BUT it created a memorable impact.

Greeks, thank you for cleaning in the rain and showing up for the community. You never let me down. I love you all 💚

Thank you to everyone who came and participated and supported our first ever Sing Out for MS Event! Congratulations to Maddie Buffone and Belle Trask in Alpha Sigma Tau for winning, and congratulations to everyone else who performed!
Today, we raised $200 dollars for our philanthropy, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society!

What a week!

I am so proud of all of our chapters for putting in the work this Greek Week! This week isn’t just about competing against each other, but building new relationships and lasting memories!

It doesn’t matter who won what events or who did the best; we, as a collective Greek community, raised nearly $5,000 for the Butler County Humane Society and collected hundreds of donation items for @rock.pantry! That’s something worth celebrating!

Fantastic job to everyone involved this week! I am so proud!
