Got to witness the great @leatherfink and @therealjoynash in Heather’s solo show at the @hollywoodfringe festival.

If you have a chance, go see the show! It’ll be running this month at the @hudsontheatres

We lost a parent a week apart last year, and I can’t imagine how much harder it would have been without Heather there to guide me through what she’d literally just experienced and had to figure out for herself (like the end of life stages left out of virtually any film !!! ) and what to do that actually helps those grieving.

She discusses her father, his stroke, and the decade plus of caregiving that meant for her and her family. She touches on some wild stories I’ve heard on hikes, that she always mentions so nonchalantly while I stop, pause, and let out yet another “wait, WHAT?! You have the craziest stories 😂” (she really does). The disappointment of those around you not extending the kindness to you that you would them, and what it means to be successful — or a woman — in a male dominated field.

There were laughs, tears, and information everyone in that theater would have either deeply connected with —or will — in what is an inevitable and human experience we all eventually have to face.

I’m so proud of you Heather! You did your dad proud 👏🏻

If you want to see the show, these dates are still available:

Sun June 23 at 7:15pm
Thu June 27 at 7:15pm
Sat June 29 at 8:45pm
