What an incredible first pop-up dinner experience for Chef Huey! 🥢✨

Eight strangers sat down around the same table, and somehow by the end of the night it felt like we’d all known each other much longer. Great food, lots of laughs, amazing conversations, and one seriously fun group of people.

Huey got to share his Vietnamese fusion cooking with a table full of people who came as strangers and left with full bellies, new stories, and hopefully a few new friends. ❤️

Watching him bring his food to life and seeing everyone enjoy it was pretty damn special.

First pop-up dinner: officially a success. And if this is what happens when eight strangers get together around Chef Huey’s table… I think we’re going to have to do this again. 🍜🥢 So proud of you 🥹

13 years ago, Charlotte could stand in one hand.

She was the quirkiest little doggo there, and somehow, out of everyone, she chose me. She ran straight toward me and happily chewed on my fingers, as if she was trying to tell me, “Yep. You’re mine now.” And she was right. We were family. Forever.

For 13 years, she has been beside me through so many chapters of my life. She grew older, her little body changed, but she was always my Charlotte. My little shadow. My weird, funny, stubborn, beautiful girl.

Today is her last day.

And honestly, it is one of the most difficult days of my life. But I don’t want today to be about the sadness. I want it to be about her. About making her last day as happy, peaceful, spoiled and full of love as I possibly can.

Because she gave me 13 years of unconditional love. The least I can do is give her one more day where she knows, without a doubt, just how deeply she is loved.

So today, I’m going to hug her a little tighter. Kiss her a little more. Spoil her a little more. And hold onto every little moment I get.

If you have a pet you love, go hug them. Tell them you love them. Give them the extra treat. Let them sleep a little closer. Take the picture. Make the memory.

Because we never know how many little moments we have left.

And every single one counts.

I love you, Charlotte. You chose me 13 years ago, and choosing you has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.

You were right.

We were family forever. ❤️

Why does gay Instagram make everyone look rich? 👀

Beautiful homes. Expensive vacations. Designer clothes. Perfect bodies. Fancy dinners.

Yet they look like they NEVER WORK!

And yes… we’re part of that world too.

But sometimes scrolling through gay Instagram can make it feel like everyone else has figured life out while you’re the only one who hasn’t.

The weird thing is that most of us know social media is curated. We know we’re looking at highlights, not someone’s bank account, relationship, insecurities or bad days.

And yet we still compare.

At the same time, I don’t think the answer is that gay men shouldn’t post beautiful things. We spent generations barely seeing ourselves represented at all. There’s something powerful about openly showing gay love, gay couples, gay bodies, travel, success and happiness.

So where’s the line?

Is gay Instagram creating unrealistic expectations about what a successful gay life looks like… or are we simply finally getting to show the good parts of our lives?

And be honest:

Does gay Instagram inspire you, motivate you, make you jealous, or make you feel inadequate?

Travel isn’t just about seeing beautiful places. It’s about stepping outside your routine, experiencing something new, getting a little lost, and creating memories you’ll carry with you for the rest of your life.
