BOOTS & BOOZE 🤠🍾
.
My cup is so full after the best weekend with all my favourite people celebrating my 30th birthday (which is only 6 days away 😬)

So lucky to have such amazing friends & family who threw themselves into line dancing and having the wildest time. It’s definitely one I’ll remember forever.

Also massive shout out to my queens @thechambersest2018 & @lexi.coops for capturing the evening so I was able to just enjoy it and not be on photo duty. You’re the best ❤️

Here’s a look at some of the amazing artworks exhibited at BitRot!

With a range of computational artworks we explored the fragility of virtual identity, and digital degradation.

We watched as image and sound collapse into each other, decaying and creating new poetics.
We traced how LLMs fall back and get lost in their own training data, how strangers can connect though fragment of lost media, when educational videos stripped of there original formatting become uncanny shells of themselves and we examined the way sharing an image can reveal its fragility.

So many interesting concepts and ideas brought to the show and so many thoughtful conversations were initiated.

Make sure you follow the artists to hear their stories and explore more about their work:

Till next time, Grange Park Opera!! 👋
Today we closed the season with our final performance of Taj Mahal which means that my time here at GPO is over and I’m already feeling every bit of post show blues but also feeling extra grateful to have had this opportunity to share the stage with so many amazing singers this season!

Also taking this opportunity for a little shameless plug of the next few adventures of summer and beyond:
• 03.08 - Lerici Music Festival Opera For Peace Concert
• 01.09 - Third End of Year recital in Carol Nash Recital Room @ RNCM
• 17.10 - Soloist in “The Orchestra Through the Ages” with Hallè Orchestra @ Bridgewater Hall
• 07.12 and 10.12 - Smerladine in L’Amour Des Trois Oranges @ RNCM
Lots more in the works and I cannot wait 👀

THE STOLLER HALL ANNOUNCES ITS EMERGING ARTISTS FOR 2023 🎉

Supporting emerging talent is a huge part of our mission here at The Stoller Hall, and is a fundamental part of our live music programme ✨

Our recently launched Emerging Artists Scheme supports early career artists from a range of genres and backgrounds. Over the next 12 months, we’ll be presenting events featuring diverse mix of musical genres, including classical, jazz and folk 🎶

Along the way, we’ll provide an invaluable platform for these artists to perform, develop audiences, capture video and audio footage, and develop marketing, fundraising and management skills to support their career development 😇

We are delighted to announce that this year’s musicians include:

@phoeberayner_ @ensemble_renard @smorgaschord
@asakaquartet @helenaricciharp ✨

To book tickets and support these incredible artists please follow the link in our bio 🔗

** tickets are now online for my Stoller Hall Emerging Artist concert **

it's been so much fun programming works I love centred on obsessive love, loss of innocence, and loss of sanity

especially excited to revisit one of my all-time favourite pieces 'Miss Donnithorne's Maggot' - Peter Maxwell Davies' epic mono-drama based on the real-life recluse Eliza Donnithorne, who was jilted at the altar and is cited as the inspiration for Dickens' Miss Havisham (Great Expectations)

also HUGE shout out to @_davidpalmer_ who will be playing a ridiculous amount of notes with seeming ease AND incredible musicality

ticket link in bio - would be lovely to see some familiar faces
