16 months ago, last minute, I packed my life into two suitcases and moved out west.
No place to stay. No real plan. Just a one-way flight booked a week before the season started.

I had no idea what I was walking into. But something in me said take the leap. Get uncomfortable. Walk into the unknown with confidence.

I was still figuring out medical school, trying to make my gap years meaningful.
To say this leap was meaningful is an understatement.

It was long hours. Endless car rides across rural highways. Late-night film. Early morning workouts. Hard conversations. Study halls. Tutoring. Mentoring. Cooking. Being a therapist. Being a trainer. Then came Coach.

But the best part? The young women I got to coach and build relationships with.
They fought. They grew. They showed up every day. They taught me more than I could ever teach them.

This season wasn’t about wins or losses. It was about character. Growth. Resilience. And those moments that don’t make the scoreboard.

These 16 months changed me.

And I will forever be grateful for the players who trusted me to grow alongside them, and for the support from everyone else who stood by me.

Proud and thankful is an understatement💛
