Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will finds rest your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.
(Matthew 11:28-30)

-Take a break today and just breathe.
-Spend time with your loved ones
-Be still.
-Spend sometime with God and talk to Him.
-Slow down.
- Quit trying to carry it all.

Dear Mom,
Thank you for all that you have done for me and our family. Thank you for all the meals, teachings, encouragement, adventures, and not killing me! Thank you for being that providing mother, not one that just put a roof over my head and meals on the table, but one that made her self available.
Most of all I want to thank you for showing me Jesus and how to lean in a trust in the Holy Spirit! You have shown me that this life is not easy and sometimes Gods plan for us is not what we want, but He is faithful in the end. You have shown me to go out of my comfort zone in order to come closer to God. You have done so much for His kingdom, and I know He is saying job well done.
From raising me up in the hood, to putting up with me and sister fighting over who is getting the automatic door side of the van, to fostering kids, to adopting a 17 year old, and then doing not your will, but God's and apodoting a 7 year old. You have shown me God's LOVE not only to me, but to all God's children! I laugh everytime when you tell me someone asked you, why you adopted two kids or how can you just adopt two kids?? Your response: "Because Jesus said so!" Thank for being you, thank you for being real, and thank you for showing me the love of Christ!
Happy Mothers Day,
Love you Mom
