📌 Sports Medicine Night #13

🔥 A fantastic evening at @isokinetic_officialpage London for the latest edition of our Sports Medicine Night series, dedicated to an increasingly important topic in modern sports medicine: Optimising the Management of ACL Injuries in Women’s Football.

🎤 The evening featured excellent presentations and discussion:
🔹 @ale.physio, Head of Rehabilitation at @isokinetic_officialpage, opened the session by introducing the topic, highlighting the importance of recognising sex-specific considerations in ACL injury management, and presenting key rehabilitation strategies for the care of women’s athletes;
🔹 Dr @matt.buckthorpe, member of the Education & Research Department at @isokinetic_officialpage, presented key insights into ACL injury mechanisms and prevention strategies in women’s football;
🔹 Mr Simon Ball, our special guest, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in sports knee injuries and complex ligament reconstruction, explored the surgical implications of ACL injuries in female athletes;
🔹 @pirottielisa, Rehabilitation Specialist, and @johanna_osteopathy, Osteopath at @isokinetic_officialpage, joined the discussion, sharing valuable clinical perspectives on the management of female athletes in everyday practice.

💡 The integration of research, surgical expertise, and rehabilitation strategies created a highly insightful and clinically relevant discussion. The evening concluded with food, drinks, and informal networking – further strengthening London’s sports medicine community.

🙏🏻 A massive thank you to our speakers and to the London Team for making another Sports Medicine Night possible!

🏃‍♂️ Runner’s knee isn’t “just part of training.” That ache around the kneecap. Pain on stairs. Discomfort that builds as mileage goes up. Runner’s knee is rarely about the knee itself.

It’s usually poor hip control, underactive glutes, or overstriding under fatigue.

🛑 Rest alone won’t fix it.

If movement doesn’t change, the pain comes back.

Clarity beats guesswork. A RunFit assessment at Bodyset shows how you run so the real cause can be fixed.

Train smarter. Keep momentum.
Your strongest run starts with understanding your movement.

📤 Share this with a runner who needs a smarter fix for runner’s knee.

🔥Set for LONDON HYROX next month?🔥

Don’t let injury ruin your comp day. It’s never too late to get ready with prehab.

HYROX isn’t just a fitness race. It’s a full-body test. Eight runs. Eight workouts. One mission: go further, faster, stronger than last time.

But here’s the truth. HYROX challenges more than endurance and strength. It challenges your body’s ability to move well, and that’s where most people fall short. Calf strains, knee pain, tight hips, lower back niggles. Not from bad training. From training without clarity.

That’s where a Bodyset BodyCheck MOT comes in. Our physios deliver a full-body screening, assessing mobility, flexibility, and strength to detect and correct imbalances before they become limitations. Using objective measures and expert analysis, we create a personalised plan to help you move better, feel stronger, and smash comp day.

💪 Prehab today. Crush it come comp day.

All you need is one bar and two really strong men. I found one strong man and one man who where he lacked in arm strength he made up for in head strength #theworldsstrongesthead

This one’s going straight in the scrapbook. Hyrox wasn’t on the list for 2025 or .. ever but I’m so glad that the universe and my instagram algorithm sent the right signals my way because this was the most challenging yet addictive experience of my life.
Who knew doing 45 burpees would make me so happy?

Thank you for bringing Hyrox to India. I can’t wait for next year!
