Pickleball - The sport that gave us the name "Jaisingh Sisters" and has been the highlight of the year for us!

We went from trying out the sport to playing the Asian Games all in 2024, a journey that we never imagined for sure!

Thanks to Pooja @poojanabhya for insisting that we try pickleball and that's how we it all began, had our first session at YMCA with none other than @ishalakhani in the month of Jan. There @akshay_iname and @sagartodu taught us from scratch and also that's where we played our first match.

Then Mayur @pickleball_no_jutsu taught us to dink and block while @sonu worked on almost all our shots. @chandradeo903190 generously helped us practice as much as possible and Dr. Madhura @physioflexrehab worked on our fitness and made us do workouts that seemed impossible .

Dada, Mr. Arvind Prabhoo has guided us along the way and @allindiapicklballassociation has been supportive in every way.

Pickleball has given us a new identity and we are happy to be a part of this wonderful pickleball community.

Thanks to the incredible support from my physio, yoga, gym routines and mantra chanting. Remember, never take any injury lightly, big or small.

Try these simple exercises to get a good posture while you sit cross legged.

Do the stretches 3 times each with 20-30 secs hold for each stretch.. Do as comfortable. If you feel an ache or pain around your joints make sure you reduce the intensity of the stretch.

As flexibility is an important component you need to build up muscle strength around your hips buttocks and abs.

Make sure you work on your over all body strength to maintain a good posture.

It is very important to not hold your breathe while you lift weights. Try to focus on breathing right while you start lifting weights..

How do you do that??
While you exert try and breathe out. While you lifts weights or you are performing body weight exercises try to co-ordinate your breathing with exertions. And breathe out while you release.

It might take a while for you to get used to it but once you attain a rhythm it will help you perform the exercise in a much easier way.

Also if you see yourself forcefully breathing while lifting weights you could reduce the weights till it gets comfortable and progress accordingly with time..

Make sure you contact a professional if you have any underlying conditions.

Feel free to contact us for personalised exercise plan and futher queries.
