This weekend reminded me why I created the Rich Bi$h Brunch in the first place. 💜

Women gathered around one table.

We talked honestly about money.

We celebrated wins.

We named the beliefs we’re leaving behind.

We shared the big goals we’re calling in and committed to one action step before leaving.

By the end of brunch, phone numbers had been exchanged, new friendships had formed, and everyone left with more than a full stomach.

They left with community.

That’s the kind of room I want to keep creating.

A huge thank you to the incredible partners who helped bring this experience to life:

👨🏽‍🍳 Chef Marcelo @thechefbook.la for preparing an unforgettable brunch that everyone is still talking about.

🍪 The Cookie Dip Company @_thecookiedipcompany for the delicious cookie dip that added a sweet touch to our gift bags.

💊 Black Girl Vitamins @blackgirlvitamins for helping us prioritize wellness alongside wealth.

✨ Aeva Beauty @aevabeauty for adding a little fun with the giveaway.

🍽️ Pickytarian @pickytarianinc for providing the plates & napkins to enjoy our brunch food.

📸 And to my husband, Jordan Ferrer of @jferrerphoto , thank you for capturing these moments so beautifully. Looking through the photos and video reminded me just how much joy, honesty, and connection filled the room.

To every woman who joined me: thank you for trusting the space and one another.

I have a feeling the Rich Bi$h Brunch is evolving into exactly what it was always meant to be.

And I can’t wait to share what’s next. 💜

I created the Rich Bi$h Brunch
because I was tired of money being a taboo topic
while everyone was wishing someone would just be honest with them about it.

So I combined my two favorite things.
Brunch. And real money conversations.

No speakers. No panels.
No one talking at you about what to do.

Just the table.
Just the conversation.
Just the room where your money story
finally gets to breathe.

The Rich Bi$h Brunch exists because of two things.

Brunch is one of my favorite pastimes.
And I was tired of money being a taboo topic while everyone on the internet was wishing someone would just tell them what to do with it.

So I combined my two favorite things.
Brunch. And real money conversations.

That’s why you’ll never see speakers at this event.
It was never about people talking at you.
There’s enough of that out here. 😂

This is about YOU having a safe space to bring it all to the table.

The questions.
The fears.
The decisions you’re proud of.
The desire to know you’re not the only one navigating this stage of your financial journey.

We have FUN.
We dance.
We take cute photos.
We create new business partnerships.
We build action plans to make our dreams a reality.

This is the room you want to be in as you build and receive wealth.

This week, I’m taking a page from @the_pastaqueen herself with Orecchiette Pomodoro.

According to the National Retail Association, consumers will spend more during the 2024 holiday season than last year. It is estimated that revenue will surpass the $900 billion range.

How much do you plan to spend on gifts for the people in your life?

Each year, around this time, I sit down to figure out my Christmas list. I don’t take the job lightly, choosing the perfect gift is something, I take seriously. My purchases don’t need to be extravagant, either. Bigger is not always better; it’s the thought that counts. I think about the person I am gifting and add a sprinkle of practicality. I want him or her to enjoy the present. Use it, instead of throwing it in the spare closet. The most important element is to ensure that loved ones feel seen and cared for when they open the surprise left under the tree.

Millions of people are experiencing some pressure as, the season of gift-giving approaches but do not fret. We are bringing new ideas to spark a creative shopping spree for the people on your list who have been nice! The best part about these items is that they won’t break the bank!

Meet Laide Olambiwonnu: MIT alumna and Founder of Pickytarian.

We asked Laide: How do you handle setbacks or failures in your professional journey?

Laide: “First of all, by being kind and welcoming to myself – this statement has been instrumental to my approach to life since my time at Sloan. Shout out to Professor Kara Blackburn at MIT for sharing this with me when she realized I was often overly critical of myself.

Secondly, I allow myself to mope around a bit and feel all the emotions. I timebox this period, and after it’s over, I get up, go for a walk, and then take the next best action to move things forward.

Lastly, I recognize that life is a marathon, not a sprint, and failures are part of the process. I learn from them, adjust accordingly, and keep going.” #mitsloanalumni #founder #womenatmit #womensupportingwomen #mitalumni
