This past Sunday, I had the unforgettable honor to swim for Kerry… It’s taken me a few days to write this because I am still in awe of the moment—someone pinch me. I had the absolute honor to swim for Kerry—a world-record-holding quadriplegic whose smile and outlook on life inspire beyond measure. Sometimes we get stuck in the mundane, yet here is a woman whose life was drastically changed in an instant—and she still chooses joy, still chooses to do what she loves, and never lets what was done to her define who she is. To add to this incredible experience, I had the privilege to open the race, making me the first person to cross the start line. In one of these videos, you see me sprinting to the water to meet Kerry, waiting in her kayak, quickly switching the time tracker from my ankle to hers, wrapping the harness to her kayak, and diving into the swim. Between all that movement and magic, the sun’s rays were shining down on us, as if the moment itself was blessed. I thought I was helping Kerry achieve another race (and yes—she’s done more than you can imagine, including a double Ironman 🤯). But when race day came, I realized it was me who was being helped, inspired, and forever changed. Thank you, Kerry, for allowing me the honor to share this space with you—it’s a gift I will never forget. Thank you to my coach for creating this moment and believing in me enough to pair me with this incredible woman who will always carry memories within me. Thank you to Clara, Raymond, and Julio—part of Kerry’s magical team—for everything you do. Thank you to my family and the Full Circle family for always supporting and embracing me, and to Mateo for capturing incredible pictures, and Joshua for being my personal content recorder. And thank you to my relay partner Anthony for cheering me on, trusting me to get it done, and absolutely crushing the run and bike portions of our relay—you did an amazing job! Together, we are better. Who you surround yourself with matters—and my team is the absolute best. Still in awe of this moment. Forever changed and forever not the same.. @fullcirclecoaching #InspirationInMotion #RaceDayMagic #KerryStrong #TogetherWeTRI
