Wow what a day yesterday at the first ever #macclesfieldcoffeefestival

Now I’m certainly no coffee shop and no one could accuse me of being a barista 👀

However with an excellent team of @thewildwanderer.co.uk @finewineandrealale @brodomacclesfield @azoriecafe_food_drink__

And the generosity of @picturedrome for allowing me to host, we had a great day.

Some of the stats for you

Cups Poured: 103 of mostly Cowboy Coffee
Water: 35litres +
Litres of milk: 3
Coffee consumed: 1.8kg
Spoons carved: 26

The great Maxonian public came out in numbers to support coffee shops all over town. The yard and inside @picturedromemacc was buzzing all day and into the evening.

Hats off to @macclesfieldtc who made this happen in 8 weeks. We’re very lucky to have a Town Council that’s really invested in supporting small businesses and making the best of what we have. They’re real champions of our slice of Cheshire. Making great things happen with miniscule budgets and a lot of effort.

Thank you very much to everyone who came and had a free coffee and support my small business.

Made by hand. Made to last. Made for adventure.

Tomorrow is @macclesfieldtc inaugural #macclesfieldcoffeefestival and we’re going full Western.

Come down to @picturedromemacc and enjoy a free taster of our own branded coffee, which is roasted for us in the Peak District by @azoriecafe_food_drink__

We will also have a selection of teas and elixirs from the amazing @thewildwanderer.co.uk and spoon carving on the hour with @trickyoutdoors

You’ll get to experience #cowboycoffee the Wild West Way or if you prefer your brew more civilised we can do French Press.

You can buy your own supplies whilst you’re here and browse the vintage clothing and wide range of outdoor gear available in store too.

We’ll have the kettle on from 10:00 - 16:00.

Bob down and see us, bring your wallet too!

The 3rd in a series of double wool Ponchos. This one has an incredibly soft English wool outer that feels amazing. Teamed up with the herringbone wool it really is an outer layer you want to snuggle in to.

As always this made with 100% wool and it’s all woven in England as well as handmade by me in England.

Not only does that mean a very low carbon footprint it also means both you and I are supporting other small businesses and relying less on imports from Europe and beyond.

This is available at @picturedromemacc and I’ll endeavour to get it online too

Made by hand. Made to last. Made for adventure.
