Stress breakouts don’t always show up where you expect. ✨

When stress hormones rise, the skin often responds with increased oil production and inflammation. Stress-related breakouts commonly appear along the forehead, temples, cheeks, and jawline, often presenting as clusters of red, inflamed blemishes that seem to appear all at once.

Signs it may be stress-related:
• Sudden flare-ups during busy or emotional periods
• More inflammation than usual
• Delayed healing
• Skin looking dull, reactive, or dehydrated alongside breakouts

What to do:
✓ Prioritize sleep and recovery
✓ Support your skin barrier with gentle, hydrating products
✓ Stay consistent with your routine
✓ Seek professional guidance when breakouts persist

What not to do:
✗ Pick or squeeze lesions
✗ Over-exfoliate or over-treat the skin
✗ Switch products every few days looking for a quick fix

Your skin is often one of the first places your body signals that something is out of balance. Instead of fighting it, listen. A breakout may be less about what’s happening on your skin and more about what your body is trying to tell you. 🤍

Let’s talk about Miliaria rubra (aka prickly heat) 🌡️☀️
A super common heat rash caused by blocked sweat ducts → sweat gets trapped under the skin → leads to irritation and inflammation 💦🔥

🤔 Often confused with:
Folliculitis (usually centered around hair follicles, can look like pimples)
Acne or newborn rashes like erythema toxicum 👶
Viral rashes (like chickenpox) or even shingles in some cases

👀 How to tell it’s likely miliaria rubra:
Pops up after heat, sweating, or humidity ☀️
Not centered around hair follicles (more patchy clusters)
Feels itchy, prickly, or “tingly” 🌵
Gets better with cooling the skin, staying dry, and wearing loose clothing 👕
Usually stays mild and superficial

🚩 When to see a Derm or healthcare provider:
Lasts more than a few days or keeps getting worse ⏳
Becomes painful, pus-filled, or spreads
You notice fever or feel unwell 🤒
You’re unsure what it is (especially to rule out infections or shingles)

✨ Bottom line: keep cool, stay dry, and let your skin breathe!

Let’s talk chemical peels + summer ☀️✨

Chemical peels boost cell turnover 🧬—helping shed dull, old skin and reveal brighter, fresher skin. The acids are designed to renew without triggering excess melanin, so dark spots usually come from poor aftercare (aka skipping SPF 😬).

Summer peels? Yes. ✅
✔️ Everyday sun exposure (errands, driving, walks) is fine with SPF 🧴
✔️ Warm weather not a problem
🚫 Prolonged sun, sunburns, intense workouts, saunas, or heavy sweating should be avoided while healing

Bonus: summer humidity can actually help 💦—it acts like nature’s moisturizer, reducing dryness and irritation, especially for sensitive or dehydrated skin 🤍

UV rays are out year‑round, and summer sun often makes pigmentation more noticeable. Treating dark spots early—while damage is fresh—can help prevent deeper discoloration like melasma ✨

Just one rule: never peel on sunburned or recently sun‑exposed skin 🌴

Not sure if you’re ready? Your provider can guide you 💬

Individuals with regular sun exposure should emphasize photoprotection and skin barrier preservation ☀️🧪
•Daily application of a broad‑spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) 🧴🛡️
•Use of topical antioxidants (e.g., Vitamin C) to help neutralize UV‑induced free radicals 🍊
•Reapplication of sunscreen every 2 hours during continued exposure ⏰
•Adequate hydration and moisturization to support epidermal barrier function 💧
•Gentle cleansing in the evening to remove sunscreen, pollutants, and oxidative debris 🌙🧼

Consistent adherence supports long‑term skin health and photoaging prevention ✨
