Yesterday, Tulane Entertainment & Arts Law Society @tulane_teals and Davillier Law Group, LLC @davillierlawgroup held a joint workshop giving first year law students the opportunity to build on their contract redlining skills. @tulanelawschool students worked on an industry standard NIL deal between a professional athlete and shoe apparel brand. Our Contracts & Cocktails event let students modify, negotiate, and manage legal risk in contract drafts using tracked changes and comments. A special thank you to Dominique Davillier and Brandon E. Wallace for their leadership, generosity, and willingness to share your knowledge. This program was designed to provide 1L students with the opportunity to get exposure to entertainment work early in their first year. Thank you to all 17 first year students who attended, who asked thoughtful questions and helped make this event such a success. Another thank you to our board members, David Cutaia, Brad Hutchison Jr., Sara Maniscalco, Max Timberlake, as well as Pierce Westbrook for ensuring that this event went smoothly. We excited to continue creating hands-on opportunities that connect students with professionals working in entertainment law. Thank you DLG!

Yesterday, our attorneys Dominique Davillier and Brandon Wallace, as well as our summer intern Pierce Westbrook, stopped by @staugnola to do an interview with WGNO about the NIL-SA program. We are looking forward to our continued partnership with St.Aug as well as expanding this educational initiative to more schools around the country. Head over to WGNO to watch the story!
