𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆: Two of my photographs will be exhibited in Paris this September!

Grateful to announce being selected to contribute two photos to this group exhibition.

Inspired by urban energy, this exhibition celebrates street photography in all its forms. Fleeting moments, plays of light, anonymous silhouettes, scenes of everyday life, and unexpected encounters capture the rhythm, tension, and poetry of the city.

Through their work, the artists express a freedom of observation rooted in reality and the immediacy of the moment. An immersion in a vibrant aesthetic, where the street becomes a setting, a narrative, and a space for human exploration.

If you’re in Paris, come by - vernissage 3 September, 19:00–22:00 - and all details below

𝗨𝗻𝗼𝗿𝘁, 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀 2025 | The German term “Unort” can be understood as “non-place” or “non-lieu” (Marc Augé) and describes a space that physically exists and may serve a function, but has little sense of identity, belonging or social attachment.
The Paris Metro is exactly this: A place where no-one wants to be, people either coming from some place or going somewhere. Always space of transit, never a destination.

This photograph was taken from my series:

𝗛𝗲𝗶𝗺𝘄𝗲𝗴, 𝗞𝘆𝗼𝘁𝗼 2024 | We are on our way somewhere. Eventually, hopefully, home. Heimweg („the way home“ / „le chemin du retour“) is a state of being in motion. The world rushes past, places dissolve into light and for a moment there is only the journey. Home: not simply as a place, but as the place Street photography exhibition poster for a collective show at Galerie Kiff & Marais in Paris, 2–6 September 2026. The design combines two photographs by Sebastian Hermeling: a black-and-white image inside the Paris Metro and a motion-blurred taxi at night. Text announces “200 ans de photographies – Street Photography – Exposition Collective” and the exhibition at 17 Rue des Gravilliers, Paris.
