One hundred years of remembering and reclaiming. For the 100th celebration of Black History Month, I turned my lens toward eight Black men. Eight reflections of ancestry, strength, and evolution. Every curve of a nose, every shade of melanin, every coil and crown speaks a language older than borders and louder than oppression. Our features carry memory. Our presence carries history. And our existence continues the story. Set against The Story of O.J. by Jay Z, these portraits confront the narratives placed upon Black men while celebrating the truth of who they have always been: complex, regal, creative, intellectual, and undeniably powerful. We are living proof that Black History is not confined to the past, it is continuously becoming. models | all tagged photographer | @asanithekreator Let me be your Kreator!
