MEET THE TEAM: PIERRO

A record shop is only as strong as the team behind it, and after 10 years, we’ve somehow managed to collect a rather lovely bunch of record nerds, music lovers and occasional troublemakers. So, in celebration of 10 years of dealing wax with Crevette Records, we thought it was the perfect time to introduce you to the people behind the scenes. Check out the full interview with Pierro and get to know our lovely team a little better ❤️

Pierro will be flippin’ records at our 10th anniversary afterparty in Blur on October 24th!

BLUR is a club in the heart of Brussels, and what matters to us is being a true Brussels club, made by and for the people of this city. 🦐

So when Pim, the founder of @crevetterecords, reached out and asked us to host the night chapter of the 10th anniversary of this legendary Brussels record store, saying yes was an absolute no-brainier. 🎂

We have enormous respect for the work Pim and @crevetterecords have done over the past decade, and for what they represent for music in Brussels, shaping tastes, sharing knowledge and feeding the curiosity of generations of locals and everyone passing through the city. 💙

What made it even more special was the idea of building a line-up almost entirely around local artists, plus @_luisasm… although, at this point, isn’t she basically a local too? 😌

We’re incredibly happy to bring you a night made entirely of B2Bs between artists we love and deeply respect. We have a feeling this big musical melting pot might leave a legendary mark on BLUR’s story, and hopefully on Crevette’s too.

Happy 10th birthday to Crevette Records. 🫶

Our values:
At Blur, everyone belongs.
No discrimination, no harassment, this is a space built on respect and trust.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: 10 YEARS OF DEALING RECORDS!

Happy to celebrate a full decade of dealing and flipping wax! To celebrate 10 years of Crevette Records, we’re bringing you a special anniversary series of events: a concert night at Ancienne Belgique, a daytime gathering at Brasserie Illegaal and an after party at BLUR.

We’re incredibly grateful to have been able to do this for 10 years already. What started with a passion for records has grown into a beautiful community, countless friendships and so many unforgettable moments along the way !

This is a very special milestone for us, a full decade of doing what we love, sharing music and bringing people together through our mutual love for wax. We couldn’t be happier to celebrate this journey with everyone who has been part of it.

10 years down, and we’re just getting started!

A connection with Pierro (@pierro_bx) has been forming since before Narrativ’s inception, with fond memories of meeting this unique character at La Rama's (@laramarecords) original shared space in Death of Vinyl's (@deathofvinyl) record store a decade ago and, more recently, while abroad.

The PanaVision (@panavision_records) label co-founder and Crevette Records associate is a true Brusselian, born and bred through and through. His musical world epitomizes this city’s deep culture, closely tied to dark Belgian techno, the New Beat phenomenon, industrial EBM, and well beyond. Emotional depth and intensity: that’s what Pierro’s bag packs in spades.

Thank you to the many early birds! You’re in for a treat.

Deep Dive returns next Friday, helmed by Brussels-based @panavision_records architect @pierro_bx whose raw, off-kiltered analog grooves ripple with sly, irreverent charm.

Resident ringleader @associate.dj dives back in with his trippiest wax oddities to stir the surface and warm the room.

Introducing Pierro!

The Brussels-based DJ and co-founder of PanaVision Records alongside Brassac and Akaj, brings an eclectic, uninhibited vision to dance music. Rather than adhering to genre boundaries or linear progressions, Pierro weaves a wide range of sounds taking listeners on immersive trips through his worlds.

His sets are rooted in two constant threads: emotional depth and raw intensity. He captivates dancers by moving seamlessly between a highly physical body-driven, energy and nuanced cerebral moments. Behind the booth, he radiates an animalistic energy, reflecting the essence of his character.

We are thrilled to welcome this special selector for an all night long set this Saturday. Join us for what is sure to be one our standout parties this year!

Tickets are in our bio and on our RA, secure yours soon as the second release has almost sold out!

Narrativ leaps into its summer chapter, bringing in an artist with whom a heartfelt relationship has developed over many years.

Pierro is a pillar of Brussels’ underground community, which is akin to Montreal’s in many ways.

There is something deeply rewarding about building bridges between kindred artists and cities. Whether they’re already on your radar or you’ve never heard of them, these are the nights we believe in most.

Support comes from your Narrativ residents.

Saturday, August 8th, Steep welcomes one of our most anticipated guests of the year, Brussels-based artist Pierro!

Inside a hazy warehouse, Pierro will soundtrack the party from the first record to the last. For us, an all-night-long set is the ultimate format—the best way an artist can properly express themself and tell a complete story.

And Pierro is an ideal selector for this kind of narrative. He is a unique digger with eclectic taste encompassing house, techno, acid, trance, new beat, synth-pop, and much more, and he holds a deep appreciation for the joy of hearing various styles in one set. It takes a special ability to connect these different sounds elegantly, and we’re quite excited for him to have the opportunity to stretch out comfortably and showcase his singular taste in dance music.

We’ve been working all year to bring Pierro over, and we are finally one month away. Come early, settle into the fog and Pierro’s sounds, and get ready to lock in for a full night of dancing!

Early bird tickets are in our bio and on RA 💥
