MUST TRY THAI RESTAURANT IN KITSILANO‼️

As a sister restaurant to @thaiawayhome Thailicious @thailicious.food is quality guaranteed right in the heart of Kitsilano 💛

🍤 Shrimp cakes are unique and a great appetizer. Fried golden it’s crispy and chewy. Right behind it is the grilled pork neck, served with a savoury dipping sauce.

🥗 Traditional favourites also include a Thai papaya salad and tom yum kung, refreshing and kicks start the palatte.

✨ For mains, the pad thai shrimp is carefully wrapped in egg sheet, and the tamarind sauce is that aromatic secret sauce making it so tasty. The Northern Thai curry noodles is a delicious bowl customizable with your choice of protein. Spicy but so good!

We got the Magnum which was their signature double smash bacon cheeseburger topped with blue cheese. It was juicy and full of flavour! We tried their triple chocolate milkshake too and it made the perfect combo.

Korean comfort food with a Japanese izakaya twist in North York @mikaku_toronto
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Mikaku Izakaya is a spot in North York with tasty Korean comfort food with a little Japanese izakaya twist. We tried the Spicy Chicken, DIY Rice Ball, Chicken Karaage and Rose Tteokbokki. The spicy chicken is stir fried boneless chicken cooked with a blazing hot sauce for a spicy kick. The chicken karaage features crispy, boneless fried chicken served with their signature sauce. We loved the rose tteokbokki that was made with chewy Korean rice cakes and potato noodles tossed in a rich, spicy rose cream sauce with cheese, bacon, chicken sausage and onions. It’s creamy, savoury and spicy all in one dish. The DIY RICE Balls are a must order. This spot brings together Japanese and Korean inspired dishes, making it a spot to check out when you’re craving something beyond the usual izakaya menu.
