#283 Surskit / Ametama. The pond skater Pokémon.

“From the tips of its feet, Surskit secretes an oil that enables it to walk on water as if it were skating. This Pokémon feeds on microscopic organisms in ponds and lakes”.

“If Surskit senses danger, it secretes a thick, sugary syrup from the tip of its head. There are some Pokémon that love eating this syrup”.

“They gather on puddles after evening downpours, gliding across the surface of water as if sliding. It secretes honey with a sweet aroma from its head”.

Due to my personal preferences, I think I might’ve posted Reshiram related stuff many (too many?) times, especially without involving its counterpart, Zekrom.

Well, with such a wave of bad weather here, I think it is only fitting to make a Zekrom themed post, including one of the latest additions to my collection!

Even though I’ve always preferred Reshiram over Zekrom, the latter still holds a special significance to me. And that EX card, so powerful! Seeing Reshiram EX and Zekrom EX side by side in my binder is something so satisfying to my inner child. And even though it’s not the actual copy from BW Next Destinies, who cares? It looks the same (and maybe slightly better, even), and makes me very very happy, which is all that matters at the end of the day. And that finger puppet, how cool is that? I regret not getting the Reshiram one as well, back then.

Also, sorry for disappearing for some time, I’m just very busy with Uni and only got the chance to post today due to the bad weather. I’ll be back at some point, with some new and interesting (if I say so myself) content.

This might be an atypical Christmas post. However, I find this evolutionary line quite fitting for the most magical night of the year.
I’ll keep it simple, and just wish you all the best for these holidays. Let them be joyful days, spent with our loved ones.
Merry Christmas! 🎄

A while ago, I asked if you wanted to see my original deck. Here it is! I am new to the actual game,
so bear with my descriptions. I wanted a Reshiram theme, adapting the Journey Together version
since I could not use the White Flare one. Here is the breakdown:
Nukes: Three cards designed to bomb the active Pokemon. Pricey on energy, but with the perfect
setup, they deliver powerful attacks in just a few turns.
Motor: The backbone. Latias ex guarantees the perfect use of Gouging Fire ex while preserving
heavy gunners. Armarouge is key to quickly supplying the attacker with energy.
Plan B: Bloodmoon Ursaluna is my failsafe to turn the tide. Against advice, I kept Ceruledge ex, as
I think it might fit: if the main strategy fails, discarded Pokemon mean discarded energy. Also,
between Mega Latias and Reshiram’s attacks, you build a fair quantity of energy in the discard pile
for Ceruledge to use.
Trainers: I worked with what I have. It is functional but definitely needs optimization. I included
switch cards to make up for Latias ex, plus Ultra Balls and Nest Balls. The rest help with pulling
Pokemon and energy.
Energies: Kept very basic for now.
It seems functional but needs faster energy delivery. I am considering Ethan’s Ho-Oh and maybe
Luminous Energy for Ceruledge ex and Mega Latias versatility.
Veterans of the game, what do you think? How would you rate this? Can it do well in a tournament
or should I start anew? Let me know!

Here’s a compilation of Gardevoir/Mega Gardevoir pics I’ve taken during the past few months, with different floral settings. I don’t know why, but each one of them seemed perfectly fitting, and yet, I don’t think I managed to fully capture the beauty of these cards.

Insert psychic type joke here —> yes, at least I switched column this time

Long time no see!
What’s happened during my absence? I think it’s been so long since my last post, that there were still Aerodactyls flying around back then!

Once again, I’m sorry for my sudden disappearance, but I was preparing an exam that happened to be delayed three times. But that’s the student life.

So, what’s been going on during these past three weeks? Are you enjoying PLZA? Are there any new sets out? Give me some update! 👇

#275 Shiftry / Dirteng. The Wicked Pokémon.

“Shiftry is a mysterious Pokémon that is said to live atop towering trees dating back over a thousand years. It creates terrific windstorms with the fans it holds”.

“Shiftry's large fans generate awesome gusts of wind at a speed close to 100 feet per second. The whipped-up wind blows anything away. This Pokémon chooses to live quietly deep in forests”.

“It is said to arrive on chilly, wintry winds. Feared from long ago as the guardian of forests, this Pokémon lives in a deep forest where people do not venture”.
