I cannot believe I never posted pics of this group!! This was @pikari_starlightโ€™s last project before our long hiatus, and I could be happier with how the outfits turned out!! We did an insane amount of work on these, from hand-dyeing the overalls, shoelaces, and wigs to custom printing the shirts! We were originally going to wear them for just a dance cover, but ended up bringing them to Florida to dance in the Holmat Idol Showcase!! ๐Ÿ“ธ: @akayawan . . . #selectionproject #selectionprojectcosplay #idolanimecosplay #cosplayidolgroup

๐ŸŽ„ Zeta's Holiday Matsuri Recap! ๐ŸŽ„ To say my second cross-country trip to Holmat was magical would be the understatement of the century!! Like NWIF last October, the idol community gave me some moments I will treasure forever!! Random Love Live dance panels (kind of reminded me of the Kpop dance panels in Orange County last September), meeting so many new and familiar faces in person for the first time (or first in a while), and, of course, the performances! Not just the wonderful experience that was Idol Fest either! I'm talking about the Holmat Overseas Idol Rejects gathering, performances at panels (i.e. CaRina and Lorien), the Lumica stage, and the Kpop competition (many people I know in the community got me into a lot of Korean songs and groups over the years)!! Even more amazing was the meetup after Idol Fest being able to chat with so many great overseas idols and cover/cosplay groups! Buying their merch, getting autographs and selfies, having chats about their work and supporting each other...it just blows my mind! Seeing everyone's performances through videos or online idol exhibitions throughout the years and watching all their hard work culminate into a stellar show on a live stage really shows me how far everyone has come as idols!! It is honestly just beyond amazing to watch! Despite having to miss the IIN panel due to the only direct flight back to San Diego conflicting with the time, I had the most amazing weekend ever, just as great as last year's but with different events to make it just as memorable!! I'd say one of the best things to happen last Saturday didn't even happen at the event itself, but the Idol Fest stream! From what I heard in the Discord, a lot of people in the chat were pointing out my wota-ing, even the Holmat Twitch hosts themselves, even being referred to as a legend in the community! I was honestly choked up seeing some of those chat comments. ๐Ÿฅน I never expected my efforts to encourage fellow performers and idol fans to keep chasing their dreams and bringing happiness to others to be received so wonderfully over time, especially compared to last Holmat and NWIF! (Continued in comments)

Saturday Holmat wrap up! โ˜‚๏ธโ™ฆ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ It came and went in a flash. I dragged @sakurashounen all over the con to get photos with his amazing award winning amusement park Hajime. That cosplay really is so impressive up close! Of course the highlight of the day was the idol fest, it was incredible to see in person! I was so impressed by the costumes and dancing but also with the background videos. Every performer was so creative with it, I canโ€™t wait to watch it next year too! Iโ€™m so glad I got to see so many people but definitely missed a bunch of friends too. Thank for holiday matsuri for a great con, cya next year!
