Claude has officially become my favorite male yandere character.⛓️🖤🔪
Kaize and Molly have also caught my interest. 👀

The first 4 chapters of Claude’s route felt like watching an episode of Frieren, but in the world of Oz. You travel with other characters on death row, heading toward the ruins on the eastern side of the country. It’s your typical cozy fantasy journey until chapter 5, when a major choice determines whether you enter the fact- or dark route.

Fact is more of a dark fantasy/adventure route, while dark is much more disturbing, with the LI turning into a yandere. Both routes have two endings.

This game also has the best choice structure I’ve seen in an otome game. Please take note, otome developers.✍🏻
There are 3 types of choices:
- Pivotal choices: determine your route & ending
- Normal choices: affect the conversation
- Reward choices: unlock bonus voice lines

And the best part? The choices actually make sense. No more choosing between “what?” and “what???” 😂👌🏻 You can easily play without a guide.

I’m not far into the game yet, but I can already tell it’ll have a spot among my favorite otoge. I highly recommend it if you're a fan of yanderes, dark fantasy, and disturbing games like Virche Evermore.🖤

After 3 years, I’ve finally finished Virche Evermore!🖤🥀🗡️

I definitely took my sweet time with this one, because playing this otoge was one hell of a rollercoaster. It’s easily one of the darkest and most depressing games I’ve ever played, so I needed plenty of breaks in between.

The game’s structure is pretty unique, you have to experience all of the bad endings in each route before unlocking the "true" route (Ankou/Adolphe) and ultimately reaching the salvation ending. After that, the salvation endings for the other routes become available as well. Most of them felt more bittersweet than happy, and honestly, some characters never really got a happy ending at all. Several routes were also incredibly unsettling, disturbing, or just downright heartbreaking.🤧💔

Is Virche Evermore in my top favorite otome games? Kinda. For now, it’s sharing 5th place with Olympia Soirée. While Virche has a better/stronger plot, Olympia still wins when it comes to the romance part.

And when I say the plot is better, what I really mean is: ✨Ankou✨
Helloooo??? This man carried the entire game and easily earned a place among my top favorite love interests.🖤 Despite not being a romance option in the base game, he completely stole the show for me. I’ve heard he has his own route in the fandisc, so I’ll definitely be picking that up someday. My man deserves his happy ending. 🤌🏻🗣️

That said, the actual plot isn’t flawless either. Some aspects, especially the scientific explanations, don’t make a whole lot of sense if you think about them too hard. But I can overlook that.

Synopsis:
A girl known as "Death" uncovers the mysteries that haunt the small island country where people are born with a curse that leads to death at age 23.
Will they find salvation?

My updated VADTD collection.💖

Last weekend, I went to Dokomi.🩵
Within the first 10 minutes of arriving at the convention, I stopped by the Altraverse booth and immediately spent over €100 on merchandise and the Collector’s Edition of VADTD. That’s definitely a new personal record. 😂😭💸

I usually don’t spend that much money all at once, and I certainly don't recommend it, but this is my favorite series, so I just had to. (The FOMO hit me hard that day.)🙂‍↕️🩷

I also got to learn new things about SUOL as a person and about VADTD during a well organized 1,5 hour Meet & Greet session.😆
I even gifted SUOL a picture (screenshot) of Penelope and Callisto that I created in Tomodachi Life. She told me that I had drawn their eyes really well.💖🥹
I’ll definitely cherish that compliment, especially because it took me hours to draw the eyes with my finger on the Nintendo Switch (I made them before I bought a stylus).🫠

It was also lovely to meet other fans and seeing Penelope cosplays throughout the day.☺️

@altraverse.de did a fantastic job at organizing everything: the Meet & Greet, the opportunity to get a shikishi, and all the exclusive merchandise. I hope they’ll be able to arrange similar events for other titles in the future.🫰🏻

I'm currently at chapter 2, and let me tell you, I'm OBSESSED!🩵

One thing that bothers me so far is that the game is an absolute c0ck tease. Because the story is linear, the romance is basically nonexistent. I've read that the game has epilogues for each love interest containing some romance, but I doubt that it will be much.🥲
However, for a visual novel, it's really great. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, and the linear storytelling works perfectly.🤌🏻

Plot:
You play as Liu Kroa, who is a courier in Kumyo. She happens to be the rightful heir of the once respected but now nonexistent mafia family, Liu. One day, she crosses paths with Lowd, the sole survivor of the Liu family massacre, who aims to rebuild the Liu legacy.

What makes this plot so likable is that you see Kroa building her own mafia family. She is a very strong and likable heroine. The men in this game are so good-looking.🤭 It has a beautiful artstyle with gorgeous cg's. What a blissful day to have eyes, ahahaha.😆

The game has a similar vibe to Piofiore, except that it leans more toward science fiction in a modern setting, where some of the characters, like Kroa, also have super powers. However, Piofiore has more romance and spicy scenes. Therefore, it will not be dethroned as my favorite otoge.

Another downside is that the in-game text is small and it's a digital-only game (which breaks my collector's heart).💔

P.S. The game's opening song is amazing too. It's performed by Shihoko Hirata, the primary vocalist of the Persona series.💕

I still can't believe we're really getting the FD for Birushana: The Rising Flower of Genpei 😭🩷 It's one of my all-time favorite otome and I've been hoping the FD would get localized for ages now 🥺 Pretty much gave up on it tbh, but we're really getting it!

It also made me realize I never shared some pictures from the Birushana artbook/guide book that I have! It's absolutely stunning, just like the game! As always I can't share too much from it without like literally showing whole pages, which wouldn't be fair.

But I hope this gives you a good impression of what to expect from the art book, and the game, if you're not familiar with it! 🥰

My favorites are Noritsune (the pink haired guy), not my usual type in these games, but his route was just done SO well and his character development was amazing. My other favorites are Tomomori (the blond guy) and Benkei (the big guy with red hair). But there's so many lovely characters and I can't wait to experience the FD for even more 🥰🥰

Uhh, why is almost no one talking about this game on Instagram?
A revenge story with a smart protagonist—sign me up!🗡️
I mean, I heard from others that in the Clown endings she goes into full crazy mode. She’s out for revenge, after all, and most of the love interests are involved. There are three different endings for each route: Dawn (good), Clown (bad/revenge), and Maze (alternative).

That said, I haven’t played the game yet. I want to finish Tsuyukusa’s route in Illusion of Itehari first. Maybe I’ll try a route from Mistonia before continuing with Yashiro. I’m most excited to play John’s route, I’ve heard a lot of good things about him.💚

The biggest complaint I’ve heard about this game is that you’re forced to replay the shard-collecting part in the common route. I’m not sure what that means, but I guess it’ll be boring (non-skippable parts can be a pain in my experience). Also, the game seems to focus more on revenge than romance in most routes.

Plot:
Conceal your identity as you seek to punish those who have taken your family and home.
Are the nobles you meet protecting the kingdom of fairies, or do they have ulterior motives?🧚🏻‍♀️

Had a pretty intense week, so it’s a lazy Sunday for me! Just been hanging on the couch this weekend. Except for dinner with a friend later tonight. But before that it’s time for the second prompt of my #13NightsOfOtome2025 challenge!

I always have a hard time picking a favorite for anything. So choosing an "ultimate" is near impossible for me because it's so dependent on my mood and the vibe I want to enjoy for something. But I guess that if I have to pick one (I came up with the challenge after all lol) I'm going with both Yang and Gilbert from Piofiore. Still cheating a little by picking two 🤭

These hotties are what got me into otome for "realsies" a few years ago. And I still very much enjoy playing their routes from time to time. Yang might not be the coziest in the traditional sense but I still get warm feelings from him and his fierce protectiveness (possesive more like it haha).

As for Gilbert, just the thought of enjoying some lovely autumn pastries together whilst we take a walk through the city parks makes me all feel warm and fuzzy inside. And like, what's more comforting than that? 🥰🥰

Wanted to post this yesterday but ofc had to show some appreciation for Love and Deepspace winning the Gamescom 2025 GotY award in the mobile category 🥰🥰 But I still owed you all a little overview of my photocard collection 👀

I wasn’t sure what the best way to do this was, so I kinda procrastinated on it for a while, trying to come up with something creative for it 🙈

But then I realised I shouldn’t think about it too hard and just show you! So here is my collection of photocards. I know it’s not as big as some I’ve seen on here, but I’ve only been collecting them for like 3 months at this point and am still pretty proud of it.

Really looking forward to expanding it. Especially for the fanmade cards! Already counting down the days ‘till Dokomi next year. Although I’ll probably be too broke from shopping in Otome Road, Tokyo, the month before 🤭💸

Anyway please let me know if you think this format works well, or if I should split it into three parts next time and just take it a little slower? Genuinely would love your honest feedback on this!

Ofc I wasn’t just gonna leave you guys hanging after the last reel! 🤭 I finished editting the photos from the “oshikatsu” date me and my friend @ikulaz had this weekend! So here’s a little photodump! 🥰

I really love how they turned out and it was so much fun to do. I really wanna try to do this more often, even though it can sometimes feel a little awkward, taking pictures like this in public 🥲

But honestly, I’m caring less and less about what other people think about me and my hobbies. And i’m really getting into the mindset that most people aren’t always judging you, they’re often just curious. As we noticed this weekend too. We obviously got some looks from the many parents with kids around, or the elderly people. But we had some really lovely interactions with some of those that came up to simply ask us what we were doing 🙏

Someone even proudly showed off their nephew’s Master Chief cosplay (which was friggin insane btw, so well done) 🥺🩷 So it was a lovely experience overal.

And most importantly, I love how the photo’s turned out lol. It was fun to take out my real camera for a bit again, for something else than just instagram pics. Although these are on insta anyway, but you catch my drift!

So yeah, I really wanna take more pictures like this, including during events or dinners etc. I just need to get in the habit of always carrying some standees around it seems!

Let’s come on an Oshikatsu Girly Date with my me and my friend @ikulaz! 🫶🏻✨️ We went to this tropical / botanical garden kinda thing called Pantropica, in the Netherlands. And we came with bags full of merch with the sole purpose of taking cute pictures of some of our plushies and acrylic stands 👀

We had an absolute blast and took a ton of pictures! I’m currently still editting some of them so I’ll be sure to post more when I’m done, but I already wanted to share this little reel with you all to give you an impression of our fun filled day 🥰🥰
