Here's the piano tutorial for my latest release "Self Discovery", out now on @pikkiesound 🕺

I made this track back in 2025 when I quit alcohol and was in a process of rediscovering myself. The chords I chose bring both a melancholic yet uplifting mood as I said goodbye to my old way of life and onto something way healthier and fulfilling as I reach my third decade.

Sometimes you choose a song name, sometimes it hits you like a ton of bricks. A proper doom scroll brought me to a lil’ story about a lowly sound designer trying to stick it to the man and I just had to incorporate it into my project somehow.

When I checked the charts over the weekend I couldn’t believe it. The Sosumi EP debuted at #54! Then just after one sleep it went up to #27!

With early support from @locklead.music and @ms_mada_, it’s both incredible and indescribable seeing my art stand next to those that continue to inspire me. Partly, it’s the validation of my hard work in the studio; all the lessons, the trial and error, the late night hours on my own and with close friends, the self doubt, the super exciting drives when a track slaps in the car, I could go on.

But mostly, it’s because I believe this music thing has an essence of magic that, once harnessed, can speak to people across multiple generations, cultures, languages, etc. It means a lot to me to have intended to craft something like this and for it to have been received this way.

It both warms me to the bottom of my heart and soothes my entire soul. Thank you for listening, thank you for supporting.

On to the next one everyone. Catch you on the flippity flip ✌🏼
