This weekend we took our little family (minus the cats) to the mountains to celebrate Chicho’s 14th birthday! Him and Marcello ran in the grass, ate great food, and had their own bed to themselves! I am grateful for his love every single day and for being by my side all these years! ❤️
*we were also scouting locations for a Pilates retreat with @pilatesconchristopher stay tuned for more details!!

Let’s platinum card my Mexican boyfriend! I do think it’s very important to talk about race transparently when your clients bring in photos of someone who is a completely different race than them… we all know this client: they have super coarse thick black hair, and bring in a photo of a Scandinavian person with thinner texture and naturally lighter hair color as their inspo (applies to cut and or color)! I believe with color, almost anything is possible, but managing expectations is the most important thing we can do as stylists! I truly believe that not everyone needs to be blonde, but if they want to do it at at least once in their life, you need to know the right tools to get you there. @schwarzkopfusa has never let me down in this department and I was able to lift his natural level 4 to a clean level 9 using only #BLONDME with 20 volume developer. I chose to do a permanent color for the root shadow because in my mind this was a one and done process, even though he lifted super well and I could’ve used Vibrance, I wanted a bolder root. Topped it off with the *NEW* BLONDME GLOW Toner and voilaaaaaaa ✨
Drop a comment and show some love for Christopher’s FIRST TIME coloring his hair!

Jumping on my own copper hair transformation trend! After seeing how good the warmth looks on my clients recently, I couldn’t help but do it myself… And by myself, I mean I had my Pilates instructor boyfriend apply it for me! I think he did a good job and if I ever need an assistant, he’s hired!
