But how do you build it? By overhauling everything overnight? Probably not.
.
An extraordinary life is actually created within each ordinary day. And here’s how:
.
By making the ordinary into an occasion, multiple ways, multiple times per day, every day.

In the latest newsletter we laid out three changes you can make today that will permanently add a spark to your regular life.

1. Change the Soundtrack
Take the high energy song you typically save for Friday night and put it on when you’re getting ready tomorrow morning.

2. Use the Good Stuff
Stop saving the nicest things for a “special time.” The time is now. This is it, girl. Get out your favorite dishes and adjust the lamps and candles to your best lighting for dinner tonight.

3. Give Your Routine a Twist.
On your next walk, take a new path. Make looking at holiday decorations the point, or walk down a street you’ve never taken.
.
When your world feels flat, you can always pick three ordinary, routine moments and make them exciting, luxurious, and memorable.

Hit the newsletter link in our bio to get inspiration, information, and invitations like this every single Friday in your personal inbox.

We’re back in PilatesStyle Magazine! 🩷

Everyone seems obsessed with optimizing their lives. But what if the real secret to longevity isn’t another thing to perfect?

Our latest article explores a much more exciting perspective: creating a life so rich with purpose, joy, and possibility that you’re genuinely excited to wake up to it.

Three ideas we love from this article:

Have we confused the tools with the destination? Your health is the foundation of an extraordinary life. But the real reward is everything that foundation allows you to experience.

Movement is an investment in your future. Mr. Pilates wasn’t simply helping people exercise. He was helping them build the physical vitality to participate more fully in life. That’s a beautiful distinction.

Create a life you genuinely love living. Protect meaningful relationships. Make room for music, beauty, laughter, and adventure. Identify the experiences that make you feel lighter, brighter, and more excited about your future. Then schedule them!

Longevity should be about more than how long you live. It should be about how much you love living.

We’re thrilled to share our newest PilatesStyle Magazine feature with you. Find the full article in @pilatesstylemagazine in print and digital, or read it at our publications page via the link in our bio.

We (@pilatesloyalty and @authenticpilatesmt) have spent years talking about what Pilates gives us outside the studio.
Our newest piece for @pilatesstylemagazine is the biggest version of that conversation yet:

We wrote about longevity…not the kind that’s only measured in years and health metrics.
.
We are here for the kind of longevity you can see and feel across a room. The goal is not simply to be the person who lives the longest, but to be the person who never stops living.

The standards you live by should build you up automatically. They shouldn’t take up space in your head. They shouldn’t be something you go back and forth on.

The more you live inside your standards, the less you have to think about them.

When you live inside your standards, life starts to move faster in the best way. Decisions feel easier. There’s more clarity in your actions and choices. You’re not questioning yourself all day.

The point isn’t perfection. It’s alignment.

When your standards are built in, it stops being a decision; it’s just what you do.

There is something beautiful about ordinary, especially when it comes to food, fitness, and health.

Most of the choices that change our lives don’t feel especially glamorous or exciting in the moment. They feel simple. They feel repetitive. They feel…ordinary. But ordinary choices are exactly where the magic lives.

Extraordinary results are rarely built in extraordinary moments.

In reality, extraordinary results are built through ordinary choices repeated with intention. One healthy meal doesn’t change your body. One workout doesn’t transform your fitness. One great night’s sleep doesn’t change your health. But over time, those ordinary choices become confidence, strength, energy, and a life that feels completely different than it once did.

At The Atmosphere Edit, we believe the life you want isn’t created by one perfect day. It’s created by the ordinary choices you make again and again. Never underestimate the magic of showing up for yourself.

Ordinary choices, repeated often, have a way of becoming an extraordinary life.

XOXO, Alli & Emilie
