This Sundays panelist for Heart Check 2024
@prettyintherapy @pilldoctorx @your_favorite_nutritionist @db_loves_hearts and me as your moderator. Join us for our 3rd annual Heart Check event February 25th, 2024!

This is a FREE health and wellness event to help you learn more about maintaining a Happy Heart ❤️.

Reasons why this event is important for you and your loved ones are:

❤️ According to the National Institute of Health, African Americans are at a 20% higher risk for #heartdisease and a 40% higher risk for #stroke .

♥️ 35.2% of African Americans 18 years and over have #highbloodpressure as of 2021, based on a survey conducted by the CDC.

❤️ With several risk factors such as #daibetes #obesity #hypertension and #highcholesterol it is important to know where you and your family stand and how to receive proper care.

♥️ Vitality and getting ahead of heart health issues can help influence good habits that help decrease the potential of heart disease impacting your family.

❤️With community efforts, we can come together to help decrease this number by being exposed to and leveraging the proper resources, in turn creating longer more sustainable life spans.

Why is this event important to me?

I’ve been directly impacted by heart health issues through the loss of my father, Fred Peete, Sr.

He had congestive heart failure and didn’t understand why or how he developed it.

So after his passing I wanted to bring more awareness about heart disease in the black community.

We are in the top percentage of people that have it, specifically black males.

This was my way of turning a negative into a positive to help provide more access to viable resources, information, and care.

To register for this event and help us continue to drive change, click the link in my bio and I’ll see you there.

Season of Giving

We want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for the generous donations and invaluable support as volunteers during this season of giving. Everyone’s contribution has made a significant impact on our organization and the lives of those we serve. Your willingness to give your time, resources, and energy truly exemplifies the spirit of giving and compassion. Thanks to your support, we have been able to give to three Angel Tree Families and serve our undergraduates for Home For The Holidays. Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your donations and volunteer efforts.

Happy Holidays

Empowering our Memphis community this holiday season with Dr. Tony Robinson (@pilldoctorx) on @dolphday!

🌟 Unveiling the harsh truth: 51% of 2024’s ER visits were black males, with 40 more hospitalized just last week.

Learning these insights from @zareon1 this year, we’re uniting against opioid overdoses by providing resources to the communities most affected, ensuring our people have the tools for change.

Thank you to @deltaspecialtyhospital, @memphisprevent for providing us with the kits for this event.

Join us in making a real impact. DM @pilldoctorx for ways you can help. 💙
