I am beyond excited to share that I’ll be embarking on a new journey as a pilot with Delta Air Lines flying the A320! ✈️🔺 This new chapter is truly a dream come true, and I’m incredibly grateful for the support and encouragement from my friends and most importantly, my family, that has brought me here. ☺️💗

My journey wouldn’t be complete without acknowledging the incredible experience I’ve had at Southwest Airlines. The camaraderie, the lessons learned, and the unforgettable memories have shaped me to be a better pilot and friend. I fell in love with the culture and it was a tough decision to leave, but with 40 years left in this career, I want to give myself the opportunity to experience different types of flying and continue chasing my childhood dream of flying internationally. Thank you, Southwest family, for the amazing ride! I will cherish my time spent there forever 💙

I’m looking forward to seeing what Airbus is all about and enjoying the luxury of having a tray table- no more eating lunches on my lap during cruise 😂❤️ All jokes aside, I’m excited to finally say goodbye to airline interviews and settle in to enjoying the rest of my career here at Delta!

I still can’t believe it 🥹✨🔺🔺🔺 #KeepClimbing #FlyDeltaJets

To top it all off @seandyang who was my Captain at ACE in Alaska when we flew BE1900s and who is now a Captain at Delta sent in his old First Officer wings for me to have at my ceremony. It was such a surreal moment.

My family also flew In from across the entire country just for the day to be there for me and celebrate this and I couldn’t be more grateful.

It’s a wonderful feeling when your friends are the ones who inspire you the most. Tien’s parents escaped communism and numerous Vietnamese reeducation camps in the 1970s and 80s and eventually sailed to Malaysia where Tien was born in a refugee camp. When her family eventually flew to Houston on Northwest in the 90s, she knew she wanted to fly for the company that flew her to freedom. Delta Air Lines and Northwest later merged and almost 31 years to the month after they landed in Houston, I was honored to join Tien at her Delta wings ceremony to celebrate a well-earned dream come true. Tien, you are an honor to know and privilege to celebrate. I couldn’t be prouder of you my dear friend. Welcome to the family. 🔺
