“Slow Dance (U Cry) (DJ W!ld Dub)” by Phil Weeks, released on Love Affair LP (DJ Sneak Vs The French Gangsters Remixes) through Robsoul Recordings in 2011.

Phil Weeks is known for a raw, groove-focused house sound rooted in classic Chicago house, funky drum programming and French underground production. DJ W!ld’s dub version is a good lead if you’re looking for a stripped-back, DJ-friendly club groove.

So I didn’t record my set because I honestly didn’t feel like it haha. The no phone policy was elite and great energy all 5 hours in the Plaza Mayor at @pikesibiza

Here’s a few tracks I played from friends and artists I love.

Big thank you to @melonbombofficial for having @tiptoesmusic and I. Let’s run it back 💪🏽

Honestly can’t get enough of this record. It’s got the lot 💥

French label Phonogramme has released and reissued music by some true greats of house music. Now they’ve taken a dive into the back catalogue of Paris’s deep house/tech-house hero, Phil Weeks, and picked three ‘rare tracks’

Up first is 2014 cut ‘Live At Palladium’, with heady Marvin Gaye vocal snippets. On the flip there’s the 2011 classic ‘Jack To My Groove’, built on a killer groove, and another 2014 workout, the more low-slung and bass-heavy house of ‘It’s The Inside That Counts’.
